The event offers a challenging but rewarding experience while raising funds for the automotive industry charity Ben. Delphi offers free online resources to bridge technician knowledge gaps Delphi Technologies, is urging technicians to utilise its free "Masters of Motion" online resources, which aim to address the growing complexity of modern vehicles and empower technicians with the knowledge to tackle a wider range of repairs. Released weekly, the Masters of Motion video library features practical "how-to" guides, covering key topics with expert advice and step-by-step instructions. This free content provides a convenient way for technicians to stay up-to-date and improve their skills. “We’re strong believers in the power of knowledge and the importance of ongoing learning,” said Luke Garratt, UK & Nordics Technical Services Manager at Delphi. “These videos are created by technicians, for technicians. It means this content is relevant, practical, and immediately applicable in the workshop.” Recent video topics include procedures for replacing low-pressure EGR valves, performing real-time data recording, and understanding AdBlue diesel exhaust fluid systems. The library also offers Tesla-specific guides and resources on tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS). “Delphi is renowned for its OE-engineered parts,” said Luke. “But that’s just where it begins. We also provide diagnostics and technical support, along with online and in-person training, to help you complete your job efficiently.” Beyond the video library, Masters of Motion offers a wealth of additional technical content, including articles, infographics, and training resources. HELLA provides rear lighting solutions for Volkswagen’s ID. Buzz HELLA has announced the release of a new range of rear lights specifically designed for the Volkswagen ID. Buzz, catering to the growing demand for electric vehicles (EVs), including electric vans like the ID. Buzz. The ID. Buzz, available in both passenger car and van configurations, has been praised for its range and functionality. It was even named "Best Large Electric Car" in the 2024 Carbuyer Best Car Awards. “The quirky Volkswagen ID. Filming underway on REPXPERT ‘Wrenches and Wisdom’ series Filming is now underway for Schaeffler’s highly anticipated REPXPERT ‘Wrenches and Wisdom’ video series, due to be released this autumn. The engaging new series promises to put the spotlight on apprenticeships by showcasing real-life stories and experiences from garage owners and technicians across the country. The series kicks-off with a visit to Colin Denton, Star of TV’s 'Classic Car Garage' and Chief Executive of the North London Garages Group Training Association (NLGGTA). Other familiar industry figures set to be featured include Louise Baker, founder of Womanic in Birmingham and Simon Powney of Markhams Garage in Herefordshire, the winner of the first REPXPERT Bonus Point Millionaire draw. “We’re incredibly excited to start filming this exciting new series,” said Matthew Selby, Sales and Marketing Director at Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket (UK) Ltd. “We’re aiming to showcase the incredible talent within our industry and to foster a deeper understanding of the importance of apprenticeships. Charity on the road: TechMan backs customer in SSAFA rally TechMan has sponsored customer David Fry of BeeCool Kettering in the 2024 SSAFA charity rally. The event, raising money for the Armed Forces charity, saw BeeCool Kettering dedicate significant resources to the cause, including a £5,000 donation and a car purchased specifically for the rally. The 10-day rally, covering 3,000 miles across Spain, Portugal, and Gibraltar, united over 100 participants with a shared goal: to honour fallen British service personnel since the Afghanistan conflict and raise £120,000 for the Armed Forces community.
