Don’t take chances - when you need a gas engineer, always check the official Gas Safe Register. https://lnkd.in/dykNEHJ
About us
Gas Safe Register is the official gas registration body for the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Guernsey, appointed by the relevant Health and Safety Authority for each area. By law, all gas engineers must be on the Gas Safe Register. There are around 70,000 businesses and over 130,000 gas engineers on the Register. What does Gas Safe Register do? Our primary purpose is to keep people safe from unsafe gas work and raise awareness of gas safety risks, including carbon monoxide poisoning. We do this by: • Maintaining the register of engineers and businesses qualified and competent to work on gas • Inspecting gas work carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers • Investigating reports of work carried out by unregistered illegal gas fitters • Undertaking public awareness campaigns

We are excited to be launching this year's winter campaign today. With refreshed assets, we aim to continue to raise gas safety awareness and remind the public of the importance of only using a Gas Safe registered engineer for all gas work around the home. Keep an eye out for our ads across TV, radio, Sky on-demand, national newspapers, and online, as well as, on our social channels as we post regular safety messaging. #GasSafe #WinterSafety

It's the last working day of #GSW24 and the media coverage we secured for the week sits at 108 pieces of coverage! This includes 11 pieces of national coverage, 62 pieces of regional coverage, 5 pieces of trade coverage and 30 pieces of radio coverage. See our press release: bit.ly/GSW24Press. Titles including The Daily Express, The Sun and The Star have shared ‘When the Gas Goes’, the films showing Silly Ali’s tales of inconvenience when his gas went. Watch the films here: bit.ly/WhenTheGasGoes. We are also thrilled many of the week’s supporters, and those who pledged support, have featured #GasSafetyWeek in local, regional and trade press. Which we will total up for the GSW24 report later in the month. Thank you for all your support!

If you haven't caught our tongue-in-cheek film, released for Gas Safety Week, take a look. Narrated by actor Will Mellor, it amusingly shows the impact on people’s day-to-day lives when the gas goes at home and reminds householders of the importance of getting their gas appliances safety checked annually so as to avoid any scenarios where faulty appliances can lead to bigger inconveniences. #GSW24 #GasSafetyWeek #EveryCheckCounts

We wish to share our thanks to everyone who attended the Gas Safety Week parliamentary reception yesterday. With a special thanks to Baroness Finlay of Llandaff for hosting the event and all the speakers' contributions. The event shone a light on the importance of gas safety, with a focus on understanding carbon monoxide dangers and why it's critical to ensure all your gas appliances are safety checked annually. #GSW24 #EveryCheckCounts #GasSafetyWeek
