If you ever step into Geek’s offices, one thing that catches your eye right away is the bold orange wall and a few vintage ads. But we wanted more for our meeting room – not just ads, but something truly iconic. So, we took on a challenge: to recreate legendary Apple adverts. The choice of the campaign was clear from the start – Apple's famous "Think Different" campaign. It was the perfect way to bring our team together. After 10 years, McDonald's is bringing back the iconic McRib to the UK 🍔 And the announcement couldn't have been more of a tease! Through a simple app push notification appearing as a "mistake", leading to a fake 404 page, mouths began watering at the thought of the return. Paired with billboards teasing an error in the printing, people began speculating about the return - building engagement and brand awareness 👏 What made people think McDonald's had "messed up" and released the announcement early was actually a well thought out marketing strategy to build up the hype. Sending fans into a frenzy, the limited item is only back for 4 weeks, so make sure to grab your hands on it before it's too late! They launched a "Summer Capsule Collection" with new branding, moving away from their typical minimalist style. Key changes include: 💗 Retro chunky typeface instead of their usual clean italic sans-serif 🧡 Bold colours like green and orange, replacing pastel pink and deep red 💚 Nostalgic packaging instead of modern minimalism This mini-rebrand aims to appeal to Gen Z with nostalgia, pop colours, and maximalism, as Glossier's original Millennial audience ages. The summer collection allows them to test this new aesthetic without a full brand overhaul.
