Climate change has a disproportionate impact on marginalised communities, including trans people. 🌍 UCTRANS is conducting groundbreaking research on the link between legal gender recognition and the impacts of climate change in the Caribbean, spotlighting stories like Millie Milton’s—a 57-year-old trans activist from Guyana. After severe flooding in 2021, Millie faced devastating losses. The disaster revealed the harsh reality of how climate change hits vulnerable communities hardest. This research by UCTRANS is crucial for driving climate justice and ensuring that no one is left behind. Read the full story below.
