We are proud to announce that Lady Phyll is the keynote speaker for this year’s City for LGBT+. Phyll Opoku-Gyimah is the nucleus of the award-winning celebration and protest that is UK Black Pride. Widely known as Lady Phyll – partly due to her decision to reject an MBE in the New Year’s Honours' list to protest Britain’s role in formulating anti-LGBTQI penal codes across its empire – she was also the Executive Director of Kaleidoscope Trust, an organisation working to uphold the human rights of LGBTQI people around the world. City for LGBT+ 2024 is your chance to stand with those who are 'Resisting the Rollback of Rights.' This live crowdfunding event brings together our community and corporate allies for an evening of inspiring speakers, networking, and a hosted reception. Hear directly from brave LGBTQI activists and pledge your support during an impactful auction-style session. Don’t miss this opportunity to make a difference. After severe flooding in 2021, Millie faced devastating losses. The disaster revealed the harsh reality of how climate change hits vulnerable communities hardest.
