New Financial Audit Requirements for Smaller ITPs The August 2024 edition of ESFA financial regulations introduces a significant change for smaller Independent Training Providers (ITPs). Providers accessing over £1 million in ESFA funding per year must now submit audited financial statements, regardless of previous exemptions. What does this mean for your ITP? ⏹️ Understanding the Audit Process: Familiarise yourself with the expectations and requirements of an annual financial audit. ⏹️Strengthening Your Team: Ensure your financial team has the expertise and resources to handle the audit process. ⏹️Reviewing Your Accountancy Arrangements: Evaluate if your current accountancy practices align with the new audit requirements. ⏹️Establishing Internal Controls: Implement robust internal controls to safeguard your financial information. ⏹️Preparing Projections: Demonstrate your ITP's financial viability and going concern status. Need expert guidance? Martin Ridgeway, our qualified accountant, shares his 5 top steps to prepare for an incoming audit. https://lnkd.in/e8_z5jk2

Another interest rate hold from the Bank of England. I know many of my clients in the hospitality sector were hoping for a rate decrease today. While it isn't the news we were looking for, it is positive that M&A activity is still strong, showing that investors do see the long-term potential of the industry. Everyone's eyes are now on the Autumn Budget. We need some support in the industry. For anyone that is struggling there's lots of accessible help out there; ✅ Many hospitality businesses are unaware of the free to access (or heavily subsidised) programs, grants, and expert support platforms that are potentially available to them to support their business growth. ✅ "Future-proof” your hospitality businesses is to ensure that your employees have access to suitable training and well-being materials. Hold on to those good staff and invest in them. ✅ Enhancing the online presence of a hospitality business can now be the difference between surviving and thriving And if we can help with any of the above get in touch GJC Andy Dempster Laura Di Bonaventura Martin Ridgeway https://lnkd.in/eHusmJuA
