Gleeds is incredibly proud to be providing cost management support to Network Rail Property in creating a world class transport gateway which recognises Britain’s busiest station as a destination in its own right, while also respecting its unique heritage. The new plans should deliver an enormously improved experience for station users and help rejuvenate this vibrant part of the City. We’re looking forward to continuing to work with Network Rail Property and other project partners on this impactful scheme.

How can the planning system help the UK Government deliver 1.5 million homes?   In last week’s Budget, Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves reiterated the Government’s commitment towards building 1.5 million homes during Labour’s first five years in power. But as previous governments have struggled to deliver similar numbers of homes – is this target realistic?   Gleeds’ Head of Development, Paul Dennison, delves into the planning challenges that have previously held back housing growth, and what the Government and construction industry can do to reach these ambitious numbers.   Read Paul’s thoughts: https://lnkd.in/eBbguNxa

🌈 Celebrating Pride in Atlanta! 🌈   On 13 October, our Atlanta team joined the Pride Parade for the third consecutive year! Held in Midtown Atlanta, the event was a day of celebration, unity, and support for the LGBTQ+ community.   Bringing this day to life took weeks of planning, from designing custom Gleeds giveaways like t-shirts, stickers, hand fans and more. In June, the team also raised $400 for the Atlanta Pride Committee, supporting their work in promoting equality and inclusivity.   HR Generalist and Officer Manager, Juliana Rezende expressed: “I’m extremely proud that Gleeds walked in the Atlanta Pride Parade for the third year in a row. The energy on the day was electric, full of love and joy. The LGBTQ+ community is home for me! Celebrating this community sends an important message that family, friends, and colleagues deserve to authentically be themselves, loud and proud!”   A special thank you to our dedicated team members—Stuart Lumsden, Brittani Byers, Rachel Nix King, Juliana Rezende, Klaudia Kawa, Victor Gasca, Jacob L., Aaron S., Chris Adams MSc, Kasey Polzin, Suzan Talley, LEED AP, PMP—as well as former employees, Joshua Mitchell and Will Jones, for helping make the day unforgettable. We’d also like to thank the friends and family of our fantastic team for joining in on the celebrations.   #PrideParade #PrideAtlanta #LGBTQ+

Egypt’s construction industry continues to catch favourable tailwinds as the wider economy strengthens.    Greater stability in construction materials pricing is leading to a more predictable business environment and helping to maintain project budgets.    Increased foreign direct investment and remittances from Egyptians working abroad have led to the greater availability of foreign currency helping to reduce fluctuations and uncertainty due to a move away from parallel market dynamics.     Where are government and private sector efforts being focused to further enhance the Egyptian construction industry’s competitiveness?    Find out in our latest report: https://lnkd.in/e3iQF3xK   #gleedsdigital #construction #sustainability
