Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity are providing grants worth up to £10,000 to support organisations helping people through the brutal winter months. The deadline for applications is Thursday, 14th November at 11:59pm. We are proud of the events we run, the funds they raise and the difference they make. That is why we were pleased to find the This Is Manchester Awards®️ recognised our impact and shortlisted us for not one, but two awards. Our Bus Pull, 2024 edition came back bigger and stronger than the previous year, raising over £33k. It's amongst an incredible shortlist for the Leading Live Event shortlist. We were also very proud to be shortlisted amongst some impressive organisations in the ‘Making a Difference in the Community’ category. Well done to everyone who has been shortlisted, and thank you to the This Is Manchester Awards for the recognition. Next Thursday we will find out who has been crowned…. Fingers crossed 🤞

Who’s getting involved with the Manchester 24 Hour Run Against Homelessness next week? Next Wednesday (13th) the Run Wild team will be hosting their annual 24-hour Run. Yes, 24 hours of running continuous 5km laps around Manchester City Centre. So, it’s up to you whether you join for 1, 2, 3 or more laps but know that with every step you take you will be joining in the fight against homelessness. A couple of months ago we visited the team at Greater Manchester Immigration Aid Unit (GMIAU). This incredible group of people provide free immigration legal advice, representation and support services to people in need across the North West of England. We previously supported GMIAU with a grant. This grant was used to give legal advice to people with no recourse to public funds who were staying in A Bed Every Night accommodation. Everybody deserves fair legal support. Thanks to donations from you we were able to help ensure this happened. Our grants are provided to ensure people at risk of experiencing homelessness or experiencing homelessness are provided full wrap-around support.
