Reimagining Organisations to be crafted from within
About us
We help organisations unleash the knowledge and wisdom already present within them. We enable people to contribute to the full and to connect to their organisation’s collective intelligence and creativity. GoFish!Collective is a new-style consultancy: Our aim is not to give you fish but to help you go fish for yourselves. One of the core tools we have developed is a simulation, our Go Fish Swimulation. This is an embodied learning experience that shifts mindsets in a way that can’t be done with data and logic alone. At its core, it is a rich simulation in which participants make decisions, solve problems and strive to complete tasks in culturally diverse environments.

🚀 We are excited to share insights from our latest blog on the future of learning! In today's rapidly evolving world, traditional education systems fall short in equipping us with the skills needed to navigate complexity and uncertainty. 🔍 So: How can we adapt to the unpredictability of the 21st century? 💡 The call for a paradigm shift in learning is louder than ever, and it starts with embracing Collaborative - Social - Learning. Our blog delves into the concept of Social Learning, highlighting the necessity of learning together with others to cultivate essential skills for the new economy. We explore the transformative power of Learning Labs, spaces where diverse individuals come together to practice and evolve. 🌐 Will you join the conversation on reshaping education for the future? Explore our prototype Learning Labs and envision a community-driven approach to learning. #FutureOfLearning #SocialLearning #CollaborativeEducation #LearningLabs #21stCenturySkills #CommunityDrivenLearning François Knuchel, Brett Sadler FAC FRSA, Katrin Shaw, Joanna Staniszewska

🌐 How can your organisation encourage more cross-functional collaboration and holistic thinking without resorting to major structural shifts? 🌐 Many organisations struggle with silo mentalities, hindering collaboration and innovation. Traditional interventions often focus on individual teams, but neglect the larger organisational picture. It's time to shift towards holistic approaches, like Liberating Structures or Open Space Technology (commonly known as Open Space). 💡 In a nutshell, Open Space enables thousands of meaningful conversations to happen serendipitously at scale and across the organisation that otherwise would never have happened and would have been impossible to plan, all within a limited time scale of 1 or 2 days. 💡 It enables large-scale, participatory collaboration, breaking down silos and fostering innovation across departments. 💡 By embracing emergence and co-creation, organisations can tap into the collective wisdom of their teams and drive meaningful change. So given Open Space Technology has so many advantages, why is it not used more frequently in organisations? What are the stumbling blocks? The biggest is probably a general lack of awareness, or a perceived 'weirdness' of the process: - For most managers, not having a clear agenda can feel rather frightening. - Facilitators often want to manage the process, rather than let it open up itself. - Unpredictable outcomes can be scary. - It can be logistically demanding. So, Open Space Facilitators need to be trained in the role of invitation (versus imposition) and the effect of agendas on the matter. There is a general need for organisations to have more facilitators and facilitative leaders, if organisations are to thrive through innovation and collaboration. And they should also have an Open Space Facilitator or two at hand. Distributed Leadership anchored in the Power to Object In traditional Japanese manufacturing, the Andon system empowers every employee to ensure product quality and safety. Pulling a red cord halts the entire production line, signaling a problem needing immediate attention. But how can Western organisations embrace this approach? Beyond traditional leadership lies sociocracy, offering a more inclusive and distributed decision-making process. This process is based on consent and objections rather than voting and opposition, fostering collaboration and richer decision-making. 🔍 Learn more how you can cultivate a culture where every employee feels empowered to 'halt the line' to ensure your organisation can thrive: #Sociocracy #CollaborativeLeadership #OrganizationalCulture #Innovation #DecisionMaking #EmployeeEmpowerment #ContinuousImprovement François Knuchel, Katrin Shaw, Brett Sadler FAC FRSA, Joanna Staniszewska

👂 Listening is the cornerstone of effective communication and fostering trust within any relationship. It creates the psychological safety needed for people to freely express their thoughts and ideas, especially in the workplace. Wondering how to put this into practice? Here are some actionable steps you can take within your organisation to ensure you're actively listening to your team's invaluable input: 👉🏽 Circle Meetings: Embrace circle meetings to gather diverse ideas on a topic or problem your team is tackling. Encourage everyone to share their thoughts, ensuring each voice is heard and respected. 👉🏾 Consent Process: After gathering ideas, propose solutions and seek input from your team. Allow space for questions, suggestions, and adjustments, ensuring everyone consents to the decision before implementation. Great leaders understand the power of listening. By creating solutions collaboratively, we foster a culture of trust and innovation. 🙋🏼 What is the best example you've seen (heard) of someone truly listening in the workplace? 🙋🏽♂️ #ListeningSkills #Collaboration #LeadershipDevelopment #EmployeeEngagement #EffectiveCommunication #Innovation 🌟 Find out more from Katrin Shaw, Brett Sadler FAC FRSA, Joanna Staniszewska, François Knuchel:

Are you familiar with the Forgetting Curve? It's a fascinating concept highlighting how about half of what we learn is lost after just one day! 😱 💡 Did you know we retain: - 10% of what we see - 30% of what we see and hear - 90% of what we see, hear, and do 🌟 We also learn best through social interaction and by having control over our learning process. Let's move beyond traditional methods and embrace learning experiences that fit into our daily tasks! Curious to delve deeper into fostering a culture of continuous learning? Check out the full blog post, written by Katrin Shaw! 📚 🙋🏽♂️ How are you promoting ongoing learning in your team? 🙋🏼 #ForgettingCurve #OngoingLearning #SocialInteraction #EmployeeDevelopment #CompanyCulture François Knuchel, Brett Sadler FAC FRSA, Joanna Staniszewska

Promoting ongoing learning is crucial due to the Forgetting Curve, where half of learning is lost in a day. Social interaction enhances learning effectiveness. Traditional methods may be tiring; instead, focus on personalized, job-integrated learning to boost employee satisfaction and contribute to company goals. Creating a culture of ongoing learning saves time, money, and aligns with the company's mission and vision. https://lnkd.in/e9xB9s6Q
