We film green projects from around the world and share them online with an audience of over 500,000 people across social media. Going Green Media is a planet-first, solution-driven media brand that films and shares sustainable projects and innovations, as well as encourages everyone to get involved in taking action for both our planet and all who live on it.
In a time where news media often focuses on climate doom, Going Green Media's primary goal is to inspire hope, action and amplify the voices, stories, and innovations that are providing solutions to the environmental issues we face.

WAVE, WIND & SOLAR ENERGY IN ONE MACHINE 🌊💨☀️
It maximises renewable energy sources and can also team up with offshore wind turbines using the same power lines.
Share this video if you are excited by inventions like this!
We met up with Jan G. Skjoldhammer and the NoviOcean AB team in Sweden to see how it works. The team are presently seeking funding through one of the UK’s largest funding platforms so if you want to invest please get in touch!
By using multiple sources of energy in one machine it means it will always be producing energy, even if the sun isn’t shining and the wind isn’t blowing. Each machine can produce enough power in a day to power over 1000 households. Making this a great solution for coastal towns and cities.

Powering Devices With Light! 💡
This unique material allows devices to be charged with light from both indoor and outdoor light sources. Removing the need for disposable batteries.
Share this video if you hope this material will help reduce our dependence on batteries!
The unique material is called Powerfoyle, a groundbreaking solar cell material made in Sweden that is now available for purchase!
In their factory the Exeger team showed us how the cells are customisable, making it great for a variety of items.
It can even be installed into fabrics, such as this bag that doubles up as a charging case!
Powerfolye is based on the natural processes of photosynthesis using a titanium dioxide layer covered with a light absorbing dye. These materials are abundantly available and the production factory is right by the city of Stockholm as it produces no toxic waste.

FARM INSIDE A SUPERMARKET! 🇸🇪
This solution requires zero food miles, uses 99% less water, and the veggies are able to retain the highest nutritional content. Within weeks the veggies go from seed, to fully grown plants and are then ready to be picked from the supermarket shelves.
These SweGreen Farms are customisable for different sized supermarkets and can currently be found in Sweden and Germany.
Share this video if you wish your supermarket had a farm like this! 💚
Thank you Victoria Karlsson and the SweGreen team for letting us film 🫶

This is an Earthship Village in the Netherlands🇳🇱 Imagine a world with more communities like this!
These homes use passive solar design to stay warm in the winter, have solar panels for electricity, rainwater collection systems for water, and composting toilets!
It took over 100,000 hours of work to build!
Thank you to Paul, one of the original residents at Aardehuis, for kindly inviting us into his home.
The community and over 2,000 volunteers came together to make this place possible.
It features 23 homes made from a blend of earth, straw, wood, and recycled materials like car tires and glass bottles.
The entire village has fruit trees to graze on as you walk around, and the main community garden is where the majority of the crops are grown. This way of living is not just great for its human residents, it also protects and supports the local ecosystem. Of course, creating a place like this didn’t come without its challenges. Navigating permits and adhering to building codes was incredibly challenging, but the community was resilient… and it paid off!
Share this video if you wish there were more communities like this around the world! 💚

CAR-FREE VILLAGE IN THE NETHERLANDS 🏡
We recently visited the small village of Giethoorn. With no roads, the best way to get around is by electric boat! These electric boats are almost silent and keep the waterways pristine. The 2,600 human residents and Golden retrievers can move around using the 176 bridges and bike paths.
Share this video if you wish more neighbourhoods could reduce their dependence on cars 🚗
With no cars in the village, the air is cleaner and there is no noise pollution, making it a truly peaceful place to live. The village of Giethoorn is located by the De Weerribben-Wieden National Park which is home to a diverse array of wildlife.
This is a great example of how humans can live in harmony with nature.
If you are going to visit please be respectful of the residents and avoid peak seasons as we’ve heard it can get overcrowded.

Next year's event will solely showcase inventions created by young people, and NOW is the time to apply! Share this with someone you know who may be eligible, and you can learn more below!
What a pleasure it was to go visit the incredible Minitopia community outside of Den Bosch in the Netherlands! Communities like these reinforce our belief that alternative ways of living are not just possible, but can also be preferable!
From a former refuse site, to a biodiverse community of unique, creative home and residents, Minitopia is just one of many eco-communities around the world doing something differently for the benefit of all!

What if you could build your own home for €5000 using sustainable materials? 🏡
Welcome to Minitopia a sustainable community of 30 tiny homes outside of Den Bosch in the Netherlands.
Each home here is a little piece of art and shows the unique personality of each of the owners.
It shows that sustainable living can be done in an extremely affordable way – some of these homes were built for just €5000 😮
There are several Minitopia projects across the Netherlands all aiming to give people the freedom to design and build their own homes with eco-friendly materials, and to establish a community of their own.
This location in particular has a fascinating story as it was built on an old refuse site for the town of Den Bosch. Now the site is thriving with lots of greenery, clean drinking water, wildlife, and beautiful homes.
It is truly inspiring to see how creativity and sustainability can come together in such a beautiful way.
Share this video if you wish projects like this could exist all over the world!

Thank you to The Earthshot Prize for hosting us last week at the Stories of Impact event during #LondonClimateActionWeek, highlighting the progress of Earthshot Finalists and their action partners, and celebrating new collaborations taking place within the Earthshot Prize community!
It was incredibly inspiring to hear both Finalists' insights on their evolution and progress since winning the Earthshot, as well as to witness the passion for supporting and accelerating the impact of those helping our planet from the Earthshot Prize leadership and trustees HRH The Prince of Wales, Hannah Jones, and 'Tokunboh Ishmael, CFA. Here's to celebrating the change makers!
