This month GOROLLOE wrapped up our 6 month project with Connected Places Catapult Freight Innovation Fund (FIF) sponsored by Department for Transport (DfT), United Kingdom. During demo day we had the pleasure of meeting Lilian Greenwood, Minister for the Future of Roads. The programme supported 5 week-long pilot trials on HGVs tested on a closed circuit track with commercial partners including Maritime Transport Ltd and Maxion Wheels who are committed to adopting sustainable transport solutions. The programme was invaluable in terms of support for funding, partnerships, financial coaching, and media presence. I would encourage other SMEs to explore Connected Catapult opportunities, and specifically the Freight Innovation Fund (FIF) Accelerator.
