Nevada Construction continuing to keep things running smoothly on site and we are very much looking forward to the finished project. Our own George Oliver used to play football for Broadmeadow Football Club under 6s - so for him to be returning as Architect on its refurbishment is quite a nice full circle moment! Portfolio Pick: Seabrook Orchards A major urban extension for Exeter consisting of 800 new homes and new community facilities; including a village square at its heart, a primary school, community hall and café. The landowners of the site wished to create a legacy scheme to complement its location at the edge of the estuary town of Topsham. An architectural hierarchy was established across the building exteriors to create a characterful, varied streetscape. Our portfolio includes a wide range of residential and master planning each designed to create thriving, well-connected communities. Site Progress: Barton Grange, Sandford Great to see excellent progress on-site at Barton Grange, a bespoke development of five contemporary homes on brownfield land in Mid Devon. We collaborated closely with our client and design team to secure planning approval and develop a robust technical package for this agricultural-inspired scheme. The new homes are arranged around a communal courtyard, echoing the traditional farmstead while integrating contemporary design and low-energy principles. There's something very satisfying about seeing the stripped-back structure of a refurbishment project. Great to be working with Teignbridge District Council on their heat decarbonisation and refurbishment initiative at Broadmeadow Sports Centre. This project is a huge effort toward reducing carbon emissions for long-term environmental sustainability, whilst taking the opportunity to improve the layout and upgrade the facilities throughout. With planning approval granted earlier this summer, refurbishment is now well underway. The upgrades include replacement cladding, rendered external insulation, a relocated main entrance and brand new changing and gym spaces. Exciting progress being made!
