I just rang you, out of the blue, to tell you, you’ve won $1 MILLION… Would there be a seed of doubt in your mind as to whether or not it is true? We’ve all heard it: “if it sounds too good to be true it probably is” If an umbrella company is offering you 100% of your take home pay, unfortunately it is most likely too good to be true. Umbrella companies essentially work as the middle man, reducing the administrative burden from you or your business. This means they take an administration fee (which is different among every business). The good news is that when you work with an excellent umbrella company (like Granite😉) the time they save you + the benefits they offer will be 100% worth the fee they charge. If you are unsure of how much time and money an umbrella company could save you as a #contractworker or #contract business, Jo is always happy to offer free impartial advice, drop her a message and arrange a chat 07740484147 📲 #Granitebpoforyou🤝 #PAYE #contractjobs #contractrecruitment

Why does employers NI come out of my pay rate as a Contract Worker?🧐 Employers National Insurance Contributions (NICs) coming out of your pay rate is common in contractor agreements... This is due to how the contract is structured and should be factored into the overall compensation package. Some employers choose to deduct Employer's NICs from your pay rate to cover their portion of the contributions as part of the overall cost of hiring you as a contractor. If you feel unsure of what you should or shouldn't pay as a #contractworker Granite are always happy to offer advice. Reach out to Jo Bradford on 07740484147 📲 #Graniteforyou🤝 #PAYE #contractjobs #contractrecruitment

We’re already spending any money I’ve earned in my head before we’ve even sent the invoice.. 👠😉 So its no surpise one of the questions we are most frequently asked by contract workers is… “Why has my pay changed since last week?”🫨 So, take a breath, its okay, as a contract worker, there are a number of reasons as to why your pay may differ from one week to the next. 📌Some contracts specify pay based on project milestones - if you completed more projects last week than the week prior your pay may have increased!! 📌Some contracts pay hourly (resulting in a pay disparity week to week if your hours change). 📌Some contracts may specify your hours will vary depending on client needs, meaning you have no control over your weekly salary. 📌Some contracts offer bonuses - if you achieve a goal one week, you may see an overall pay increase in that week. 📌As a #contractor you may be able to process expenses (for things including travel, materials etc), if these are reimbursed monthly but you are paid weekly, you may see a pay disparity. If you think your pay has changed, none of the above reasons apply and you are in need of some advice, Granite is happy to help. Reach out to Jo Bradford on 07740484147 📲 And if you have spent next weeks earnings already, Granite offers our #contractworkers advances when they need them😮💨 #GraniteforYou🤝
