How much is it costing you?🤷♀️ From April 2025, significant changes to Employer National Insurance Contributions will take effect, with a substantial impact on many businesses. In some cases, companies will see an increase of over 100% in their ERNI costs compared to the previous year. Key changes include: 📈The Employer NIC rate will rise from 13.8% to 15%. 📉The Employer NIC Secondary Threshold will decrease from £9,100 to £5,000. 👀As an example employers will incur an additional cost of £615 per year for each employee earning £9,100, plus an extra 1.2% on any earnings above this amount. 🙌A slight saving grace, EA will increase to £10500 Following the announcement of the Autumn Budget, I assessed the impact of these changes. This increase has been incorporated into our 2025/26 budget, and we have made the necessary adjustments to account for these additional costs. It is important that you are aware of how this change may affect your company and take proactive steps to prepare accordingly.

Glad we could help and very proud of all the team for taking part. Hope vinnie and Sarah are happy with their new driveway

ACE BY NAME, ACE BY NATURE We are very grateful to Robert Brock and team at ACS Site Services UK Ltd, alongside LBS Builders Merchants Barry who helped us with Morgan’s Magic Project #3 Morgan’s Magic Projects are when families we support put a request out for help for something that will improve their quality of life and ease the burden of having a child unwell with cancer or a rare blood disorder. Morgan’s Army speak to the community and engage/collaborate with businesses local to the family- to create a bit of magic! Little Vinnie has high risk ALL (a type of leukaemia), he has frequent and unpredictable struggles with his mobility- this is a common side effect of a type of chemotherapy called Vinc. Where the nerves of the limbs become very painful (neuropathy) and leaves children in great pain. This treatment is of course essential to save their lives, but heartbreaking all the same. When Vinnie is struggling he requires a wheelchair as he’s grown too big for a pushchair, or more frequently, Vinnie’s mum has to carry him. Vinnie is nearly 6 and so it’s not always easy. Something I personally can understand from when Morgan lost his ability to walk following his 4th round of chemo. Vinnie’s mum, Sarah, had no parking outside her house and so it was really stressful to navigate getting Vinnie in/out of the car, shopping and hospital appointments. Especially when he requires the wheelchair. Their house wasn’t accessible to Vinnie in the chair either, leaving him isolated indoors. When Vinnie is well life is a bit easier, but at frequent intervals in his ongoing treatment which will last a couple more years, life becomes unbearably hard for both Sarah and Vinnie. Sarah reached out to us for a grant towards having a drop curb and drive installed. We knew we could do better than that, and we reached out to our community. In steps Rob, Terry, Greg, Graham and Tommy from ACE Site Services UK and LBS Buikders Merchants (Barry Branch) who not only agreed to donate their labour and skill for free, but also covered costs of all materials. This meant the charity could spread funds elsewhere but we could still help this deserving family with something to make their life easier. Not only is Sarah now able to park directly outside her house, Vinnie has an area that is accessible when he needs his wheelchair-he has an area to play outside when is immune system is too low to stray far from home. Today they finished the project, and even better Vinnie was there to watch and feeling really well and good on his feet- he gave the boys a run for their money. Children are incredibly resilient. There is a full YouTube episode to come about Morgan’s Magic Project #3 in it’s entirety but we hope you enjoy this short preview about the build and please give the ACE boys a follow- what an incredible company! Welcome to Morgan’s Army ACE Site Services UK Ltd. We will forever be grateful.

Thanks to Rhiannon Jones for arranging for Green Hat Consulting to present to BEng and BSc final year Civil Engineering students at the University of South Wales yesterday. We presented on the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, and provided examples of our experience since its implementation. When one of the students asked: When did you finish your Bachelors degree? I couldn't quite believe it was over 30 years ago! It was great to engage with the groups and contribute to the sessions, there was great energy in the room - we even managed to introduce some music and potatoes! Such positive engagement. We look forward to engaging further over the coming months. #cdm #associationofprojectsafety #engagement #futureleaders #universityofsouthwales #energy

During a recent premises inspection on behalf of FREDS Timberframe, the entire company attended a presentation on the history of health and safety since the start of the Industrial Revolution. We discussed the formation of the HSE, noting that January 2025 marks its 50th anniversary, and reviewed last year's annual figures. FREDS Timberframe takes its safety responsibilities very seriously, maintaining a high standard of compliance, which was evident throughout the visit. Many thanks for the warm welcome. The day began with the entire site team attending a talk on 50 years of the HSE and last year's HSE Annual Statistics. We discussed advancements in health and safety and emphasised the importance of not becoming complacent. Many thanks for the great attendance. Gavin Thomas MCIOB James Coombs
