🍽️ FOODIE FRIDAY 🍽️ For those of you new to following me, I showcase x3 food & drink brands each week, reviewing them both with a consumer & buyer hat-on. So let's do it... 🍄 If like me you're exploring ways of eating more functional foods, you'll love Lucid World snack bars. Harnessing the power of mushrooms, the range has been created to help you destress & re-energise while also being vegan, nutritionally dense and high in fibre. The 'peanut butter jelly' was a hit, think of it as an apoptogenic fruit & nut bar with Lion's Mane, the 'brain mushroom' which is great for concentration, creativity & you guessed it, brain health. Really stood out on shelf & looks very aligned with the ingredients. Currently sold in Whole Foods Market and indies, would be great for co-working cafes such as WeWork, PLATF9RM, The Office Group, Spaces. offices | co-working | meeting rooms. as well as health accounts such as WellEasy, Holland & Barrett and Grape Tree 🍝Pasta but not as you know it. Nick Pasta and his company Cornwall Pasta Co has given the Italian's a run for their company with this unbelievably gorgeous, Organic, British, seasonal range of pastas. With a real focus on regenerative, circular farming & foraged or organic ingredients the outcome is honestly outstanding. For example, the 'Red Wine Radiatori' pasta is made from single estate Cornish wine, given it a deep rouge colour & that hearty flavour. The branding is top class, all biodegradable & compostable and delicious. This needs to be in the restaurant scene so places like Sous Chef, Vegetarian Express, Natoora, Smith and Brock Ltd, REKKI and then places like Restaurant Luca, NOCI, Norma Sicilian Restaurant as well as Abel & Cole | B Corp™ 💪 Let's chat about Grounded Drinks I'll admit it's an indulgent milkshake, but a nice boost of protein and a clean ingredient deck is a positive. And it's got less sugar than a glass of milk. Similar to the Frijj milkshake, but a vegan version with no GMO ingredients, bulker or filler ingredients. The chocolate flavour is rich, creamy thanks to the coconut & very filling. The mint choc chip honestly tastes like the traditional ice-cream flavour. Love the carton design leaning on the retro vibes as well as the packaging being 100% recyclable as it's made from 75% paperboard. Very impressive. Can see it doing well in the convenience sector so Nisa Retail, Booker Group, Costco Wholesale as well as Costcutter & SPAR International. I'd also say indie on-the-go retail such as Amazon Fresh & WHSmith. Have a great weekend all! #fmcg #reviews #buyers
