About us
Both of our innovative programmes connect young people to their communities: as mentors to children in need of extra support, and by creating youth-led projects In the Community. We believe in giving all young people the chance to realise their unique potential. We build their mental health, educational engagement and life skills, so that they can contribute to stronger communities.

📣 Did you know 1 in 3 men in Scotland experience mental health challenges—and it's on the rise? Yet, talking about it and seeking support can be tough for many men and boys. That’s why, with funding from Movember we're changing the game. We’re bringing more boys into our programmes, giving them a space to grow, connect, and learn about themselves. 💬 94% of boys in our programme say it’s helped them become more self-aware and understand the impact of their actions. This is the power of support and understanding. 🙌 Let’s keep breaking the stigma around men’s mental health. 💪💙 #Movember #MentalHealthMatters

🌟 Another successful Funder visit 🌟 A huge thank you to PaulByrne, CEO of CABWI Awarding Body Charity for visiting our Nursery Mentoring programme at Millburn Academy and Raigmore Primary! Paul was truly inspired by the progress made, saying: "It was an absolute pleasure to meet your staff and the marvellous young people. The progress these young people have made in such a short space of time is remarkable!" 🙌 He also had the chance to meet with the Youth Social Action group, who recently completed a teen mental health project, creating personal 'soothe boxes' filled with their happy items. They're excited to bring this initiative to other schools soon! 💛🎁 #YouthEmpowerment #MentalHealthAwareness #HighlandCouncil

Thanks to Movember a prominent charity dedicated to transforming boys' and men's health, our proposal has been submitted to Neil Gray MSP, the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care, for consideration. The proposal aims to expand Growing2gether into schools and communities throughout Scotland. This is on the back of a meeting Gavin Morgan (Co-CEO of Growing2gether) held with Education Scotland's CLD and Early Years team and also follows an invitation to Jenny Gilruth MSP (Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills) to visit one of our Nursery Mentoring programmes to see the impact this early intervention programme is having for pupils in S3/S4, mentoring children in Nursery and Primary 1. Lady Diana Whitmore (Founder and Co-CEO of Growing2gether) is "delighted that there is a growing interest in our programmes, as we know and can evidence the impact and outcomes that see young people's mental health behaviour and educational attainment improve, through the power of mentoring a young child". Congrats to Gavin for flying our flag The Clapham Grand for the 'Mo Show' to launch the up and coming Movember campaign.
A huge thank you to all the team at Movember for a wonderful event last night in London. Thank you for the opportunity to speak about the work and impact we are seeing in our Growing2gether Nursery Mentoring programmes (funded by Movember) and our Youth Social Action projects. It was a delight to meet so many amazing people and hear from the other fabulous speakers about Movember's far-reaching work. Well done everyone and thank you.
