About us
We are architects trained in problem-seeking, concept-defining, solution-framing and communicating. We identify new needs and opportunities, building alliances and helping to shape solutions. Our distinguishing characteristics are openness and a desire to work collaboratively; generosity in being prepared to engage and share ideas; an inquisitiveness combined with a calculated willingness to enter uncharted territory; and above all an appetite for a challenge and an entrepreneurial drive. We have chosen to define and lead the market - not follow it. Our business is to design and deliver innovative solutions for our clients in the private and public sector through a rigorous process of listening, challenging, imagining, making and most importantly enjoying. We not only bring our experience to our projects but also the lessons we have learnt, the knowledge of how we can add value and, in many instances, as a result of our efforts, successful outcomes that have been delivered. GT3 Architects is an RIBA Chartered Architectural Practice and is ISO 9001 and 14001 accredited. This certification makes a positive statement about our level of systems management and the importance we place on meeting our clients’ needs. We work across a range of architectural sectors with particular skills in architecture, master planning and interior design with specific project experience in the fields of sport and leisure, workplace, civic, residential and mixed-use developments. These skills are supplemented by our own unique workplace consultancy service (Performance+) and our flexible, innovative leisure solution (Core+). We have developed a reputation for our creativity and innovation supported by a proven track record of translating bold concepts into elegant technical details and successful project delivery. Many of our projects are commissioned by repeat clients and/or won in competition which reflects both our commitment to ongoing client service and design creativity.

Last week, Ella and Katherine had the pleasure of representing GT3 Architects at the Careers Fair at Dame Allan's in Newcastle! The event was a fantastic opportunity for students in years 6-13 from Dame Allan's, Wingrove Primary, and Percy Hedley College to explore potential career paths and university options. With over 30 companies and 20 higher education institutions, the focus was on Education, Diversity, and Inclusion in education and employment. It was amazing to see the enthusiastic response and to see students so engaged and curious about creative careers!

Charlotte Stone and Hattie Keel recently attended Everyone Active - SLM’s 3rd Annual National Fitness Launch, where the focus centred on enhancing wellbeing and improving user experiences within their facilities. Building on the success of the previous Fitness Suite and Studio Design projects, GT3 Interiors were invited to create new designs for their new Reformer product, along with a fresh concept for the dry-side changing facilities. We’re happy that these were met with such positive feedback! Thank you to EA for allowing us to be a key collaborator alongside other outstanding suppliers, as we continue shaping the future of the wider facility spaces. Stay tuned for the next exciting round of designs!

Last week, Paul Reed our Director and sport, leisure and community lead and Paolo Coyle our Senior Architect had the opportunity to attend the Physical Activity Forum, a must-attend event for professionals in the design, build, and management of sports, recreation, and leisure facilities. Beyond the focus on physical spaces, the forum emphasised the importance of designing environments that prioritise human experience, community engagement, and wellbeing. Through tailored 1-2-1 business meetings, insightful seminars, and valuable networking, we connected with key industry leaders who share our vision of creating spaces where people thrive. #PeopleArchitecture #PhysicalActivityForum | Stable Events

From vision to reality, we’re sharing how the journey from CGI renders to the completed project photos reflects the transformation of this space, now home to a 900m² fitness suite, multiple studios, squash courts, and climbing walls are just some of the fantastic amenities now available. Plus, with the addition of a café. We're proud to have played a role in bringing this project to life, alongside Wates Group, Method Consulting, Ramboll, Mace, and Provelio.
