GuildHE reposted this
Ahead of my appearance in the Wonkhe podcast coming out tomorrow, my “highlight of the week” has been getting out and spending time with our specialist GuildHE members. Monday in the sunshine at Falmouth University with Emma Hunt talking all things where creativity and technology meet. Also, petting cats—what a great bonus! Then off to spend Wednesday (and this morning) with land-based specialist colleges and universities at the annual conference of Landex - Land Based Colleges and Universities Aspiring to Excellence. There, I was able to catch up with Hartpury University and Hartpury College colleagues and make new friends from The Windsor Forest Colleges Group, Plumpton College, and more. Thanks again to Alex Payne for inviting me. It really is a great week for diving into what makes our specialists so special and why we need to be fighting to protect the diversity of the sector! I was delighted to be filmed this morning to contribute to a new documentary series from City Harvest London on food redistribution, food insecurity, and communities. Their impact is phenomenal. Let’s see if I make the final edit! Watch this space for later this year. It was filmed at Rabobank’s London HQ which also gave me an opportunity to catch up with Jeremy Perl the new GM for Rabobank. I am looking forward to welcoming Jeremy to Harper Adams University later this year to explore how our partnership might develop.
