Today is National 999 Day - a day to celebrate those who work in our emergency services 🤝 From the police to the Welsh Ambulance Service to South Wales Fire and Rescue, every single person works hard day-in-day-out to protect their communities. In Gwent, we have more than 2,500 people who help protect and reassure our communities; this includes frontline officers, call handlers, staff, and volunteers 👮♂️👮♀️ Every single one of these people works hard to ensure that the emergency services can run efficiently. Today is also an opportunity to thank those who use the emergency services responsibly and help keep the lines clear for those who need them.
