Office furniture engineered for inspiring workspaces. Designed for today. Built for tomorrow.
About us
If you think office furniture is always dull. Think again. We believe that the workspace should never be less than inspiring. In our world there is no excuse for dull, samey or purely utilitarian. The right furniture will bring your brand to life and, more importantly, make your people more effective by living in it. After all why spend significant resource on articulating a compelling proposition and then have uninspired and uncomfortable people to deliver it? We source and commission the most stylish furniture from around the globe and then work with our clients to help them to style and tailor their spaces to maximise their potential – fusing natural materials with technologically advanced thinking and sustainable & environmentally responsible practices. Our approach is guided by three principles. We believe in practicality, we think long term and we believe in the power of good design to positively enrich our lives. Long term thinking is what it’s all about – because short term-ism is never the best approach. In fact we see what we do as a virtuous circle – wherever possible what comes out of the earth goes back into it. Everything that we do always has this in mind and is developed in as a sustainable way as possible. This is underpinned by a fundamentally pragmatic approach – great looks and sustainability are nothing unless the product is practical to use. The devil is in the detail. Our view is that it is about the little things that all add up – lots of smaller design touches all coming together to make a large positive improvement to comfort, happiness and efficiency. And finally we work in a collaborative way with our clients – advising, explaining and then helping to empower them to use design to make them more effective and productive. If you ever thought office furniture was boring. Think again. Not in our World. Think Haiken.

🌟Meet the Architect - Aldo Rossi🌟 Aldo Rossi (1931–1997) was an Italian architect who believed buildings should tell stories. He wanted architecture to connect with history and culture, making cities feel alive. Rossi viewed cities as giant memory banks, where every building contributes to a shared history. He thought architects should study old building styles to inspire new designs, blending classic elements with modern simplicity. Rossi’s buildings are characterised by simple geometric shapes, like cubes and cylinders. They feel timeless and sometimes abstract, as if they could fit into any era. Notable Works: 🏛️San Cataldo Cemetery (Modena): An abstract, meaningful design that feels like a sculpture. 🏛️Teatro del Mondo (Venice): A floating theater that mixed imagination with architecture. 🏛️Gallaratese Housing Complex (Milan): A modern residential area with classic vibes. 🌟 Meet the Architect - James Stirling 🌟 James Stirling (1926–1992) was a revolutionary British architect who reshaped modern architecture with his bold, unconventional designs. Known for blending Brutalism and Postmodernism, Stirling's work stood out for its innovative use of materials and forms. Born in Glasgow, raised in Liverpool, Stirling served as a paratrooper in WWII before studying architecture at the University of Liverpool. In 1956, he co-founded a practice with James Gowan, gaining attention with the Leicester Engineering Building (1959–1963), which broke architectural norms with its daring mix of brick and glass. After splitting with Gowan, Stirling’s solo projects, like the History Faculty Building at Cambridge (1964–1968) and Neue Staatsgalerie in Stuttgart (1977–1984), showcased his shift to a more playful, Postmodern style. These works mixed bold colors, classical references, and urban elements, redefining museum and educational architecture. 🥇Nicknamed “Big Jim” for his larger-than-life persona, Stirling was an influential educator at Yale, Harvard, and the Architectural Association. 🥇Awarded the Pritzker Prize in 1981 and the RIBA Royal Gold Medal in 1980, he left a lasting mark on architecture. 🥇His impact is immortalised by the RIBA Stirling Prize, named in his honour, celebrating excellence in architecture annually. #Architecture #Innovation #Design

🌟Meet the Architect - Sir Denys Lasdun🌟 The genius behind one of our task and meeting chairs called the Lasdun! Born in 1914, Lasdun was a visionary who helped shape the face of modern British architecture. After studying at the Architectural Association in London, he was deeply influenced by the modernist movement, especially the ideas of Le Corbusier. If you’ve ever admired the Royal National Theatre on London’s South Bank, you’ve seen Lasdun’s work in action. Known for his bold, angular designs and love of concrete, Lasdun’s style is a prime example of Brutalist architecture – but with a twist! A few facts about Lasdun... 🎭 The Royal National Theatre has been called “an architectural equivalent of Marmite” – you either love it or hate it, but it’s impossible to ignore! 🏫 The University of East Anglia’s student residences were designed like ancient “Ziggurats,” blending old-world inspiration with modern innovation. 🏆 Lasdun was knighted in 1976, and a year later, he received the Royal Gold Medal for architecture. Talk about a double win! Lasdun’s buildings are a testament to his belief that architecture could shape the way we live, work, and interact. Next time you see one of his creations, take a moment to appreciate the creativity and thought behind it!🚀 Contact Sales for pricing on our Lasdun Chair - 📞+44 (0) 203 873 1057 📧sales@haiken.com #Architecture #Design #Modernism #Brutalism #Inspiration
