📬 In this week's newsletter I shared Ashleigh Donald's podcast episode. Inspired by our conversation the question that I want us to reflect on is "Get comfortable with being uncomfortable" 🏔 Soon after starting her career in hospitality Ashleigh found her passion in marketing as it was an area that gave her a lot of creativity. Her time in Thailand taught her a lot about the culture differences of business being deadline orientated vs relationship oriented. Just before COVID, her and her husband started a business together to create a more flexible lifestyle for their family and be of service to the industry. They also prioritise giving back to the industry and donate 1% of their profits. Her key learning is to get comfortable with being uncomfortable, which she has faced at various stages of her career. ❓So the question I am asking today what level of comfort do we have in our careers? 🏔 In my own experience I can say that I there have been moments when I was too comfortable sometimes. So much so that it stopped me from taking action, moving forward and learning. I had become stagnant.
