Bright lights, loud noises, and unexpected visitors can sometimes cause confusion or anxiety. Let’s be mindful this season by: 🎃 Using gentle decorations around loved ones living with dementia. 🎃 Considering quiet visits or showing costumes in a friendly, familiar way. 🎃 Being patient and understanding if they seem unsure or disoriented. Last week, we celebrated Inclusion and Diversity Week across our communities throughout the UK! It was an incredible opportunity to come together and embrace the beautiful diversity that makes us all unique. Throughout the week, our amazing residents, families, and team members showcased traditional outfits from around the world, put on captivating dance performances, and shared delicious foods from their home countries bringing everyone closer through culture and flavours. Today was an unforgettable day at Caddington Grove near Dunstable as we had some very special visitors—PENGUINS! 🐧💙 Our residents were thrilled to meet Pringle and Widget up close, and the joy on their faces was priceless. The penguins waddled their way into everyone’s hearts, bringing smiles, laughter, and a bit of nature's magic to our home.
