𝗛𝗣 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿: Once again we were supporting clients at the HP Discover Show in Barcelona—an industry-leading tech event showcasing the latest innovations in AI, cloud computing, and enterprise solutions. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄: Our team has also handled an essential delivery of beds and mattresses from Turkey to the Bed Show at the NEC in Birmingham. 𝗧𝗼𝗿𝗾𝘂𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗺 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀: We were in the English Riviera supporting clients at a show on the south coast. 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀: We delivered smaller valuable items, such as a whole raft of watches, to a wide variety of events. 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: For the second year running we have also supported Fenerbahçe football club, in Turkey, at their merchandise show. 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: With the celebrations of Diwali behind us; Bonfire Night being just around the corner; and the festive season of Christmas fast approaching, it feels like the year is flying by! One essential tip to survival at your event is to keep your alcohol intake low and you MUST drink plenty of water! Staying hydrated is critical, especially when temperatures on the event floor can climb upwards of 30°C (86°F) plus. Alcohol dehydrates the body and drinking alcohol can leave you feeling sluggish and drained—a situation no one wants during the middle of your busy event! Instead, carry a water bottle, and have handy a supply of water to refill your bottle, and drink water regularly to keep both your body and mind at peak performance levels. 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 As the CEO of Handdels London, I didn’t start at the top of logistics—I had to work my way up, learning every step of the way. Early in my new career as Sales Manager at a courier company at London Heathrow, I had to learn on the job, gaining experience by knocking on doors and asking companies if they used courier services. It was an in at the deep end experience and a hands-on, trial-by-fire learning experience, but quickly I became adept at the role, building relationships and mastering the art of logistics and I discovered that I was very good in my new role. Within a year or so, I was called into the office of the "big boss." To my surprise, I was told that the General Manager had left, and that I was now in charge! From that point on, the boss rarely came to the office, leaving me to run the entire operation. This was another day to day sink or swim experience, and it was the stepping stone toward running my own business. With this experience under my belt, Handdels London soon came into being.
