Happy Dolphin introduces Sustainable Plastic/CO2 Cups for the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Happy Dolphin worked with Ethara, the promoter of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and operator of Yas Marina Circuit to utilise the cups within F&B areas. The cups were also utilised at Etihad Park, the venue for the event’s Yasalam After-Race Concerts. In total, 150,000 cups were used by fans across the two venues. Branded ‘Racing Towards a Sustainable Future’, the Happy Dolphin cups were one of several sustainable practices employed over the weekend of the largest ever edition of the race in Abu Dhabi. Made from Biodolomer - a breakthrough natural material using plants and minerals – the cups are made in the UAE and are fully brandable and compostable. Following their use at some major events in the UAE including the Abu Dhabi GP where they were a huge hit with race and concert goers, they will be rolled out at major events globally.
