We are so very proud that Harris Girls' Academy Bromley continues to be in the top 100 schools in the country! We continue to be the top performing non-selective school in the London Borough of Bromley and the students that attend our academy leave us with considerably higher grades than if they went elsewhere. Grades that mean opportunity and choice over the future they desire. Our students continually amaze us by their hard work, their dedication and their determination and it is wonderful to see them take full advantage of all the opportunities available at HGABR. 🧳 MFL Paris residential 2025 I have just returned from a relaxing 4 day trip to Paris.… Any teachers who have been on a residential will know this is the ultimate social media vs. reality photo. However, I can say that leading 50 incredible students, alongside four fantastic colleagues, on a whirlwind adventure through the city was a total privilege full of laughter, and unforgettable moments. As someone who loves learning and sharing languages and cultures, it is so special to watch our students immerse themselves in French life. From navigating signs to making human connections using their French, their confidence grew throughout the trip. One of my favourite moments? Hearing a student say, "I think I'm falling in love with France" as we walked along the Seine. And just when we thought the trip couldn’t get any better… the girls were hyped to meet Tay Kabs on the Eurostar home! A perfect way to top off an unforgettable weekend. 🎉 A huge thank you to my brilliant colleagues and our amazing students for making this trip one to remember. Today is International Day of Women and Girls in Science! We're proud to highlight the work we're doing at the Harris Federation to ensure that all students have the opportunity to thrive in Computer Science and in STEM careers. Through our collaboration with the National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE), we're both supporting students to develop digital skills and giving teachers the training and confidence to inspire the next generation. Harris Academy Beckenham, Harris Girls' Academy Bromley, and Harris Primary Academy Shortlands recently featured in the NCCE's video that showcased the impact of our work in shaping the future of computing education. We know that representation matters and by working with organisations like NCCE, we're helping to break barriers, challenge stereotypes, and open doors for more young women to pursure a career in STEM. I am proud to hold my NPQ in Leading Behaviour & Culture and even prouder to get to facilitate the programme at the Harris Institute I’ve led two cohorts now and each time I’ve been amazed at the creativity and passion of the educators in the room.
