    Scaling Success with Savory Fund: Harrison’s Role in a $50M+ Restaurant Expansion As experiential dining continues to trend, Harrison is excited to partner with Savory Fund and The Maggiore Group to expand The Sicilian Butcher, The Sicilian Baker, and Hash Kitchen across major U.S. markets. Backed by Savory Fund’s $50M+ combined investment in the Maggiore concepts, Harrison’s designs have been integral in scaling operations, celebrating each concept’s personality, while maintaining each brand’s unique identity. When Harrison began its partnership with Savory, there were three existing locations of The Sicilian Butcher and The Sicilian Baker within the portfolio. Recently, the Harrison designed Fort Worth, TX location opened with additional sites in Dallas, TX, San Antonio TX, and Nashville, TN slated to open in 2025. Harrison has collaborated with Savory Fund on 13 Hash Kitchen locations across 5 States to date, creating Instagrammable spaces with elements like a live DJ booth, Bloody Mary bar, and the brands first build-your-own donut bar. Hash Kitchen continues its growth with the recently opened Pearland, TX location and the soon-to-open Webster, TX and Salt Lake, UT sites. Harrison’s scalable, consumer-driven designs have been crucial in maintaining the heart of each brand while adapting them for efficient growth.     The creative design direction for our latest Nando's UK & IRE at Sixfields, Northampton, was inspired by the vernacular architecture of Southern Africa and the traditional construction materials of this region. The existing exterior of the site had an overhanging roof and row of columns creating a ‘lodge-like’ appearance which inspired a design direction based on South African huts and safari lodges, tying the existing site with the brand’s cultural and geographical origins. The central seating area serves as the heart of the ‘lodge’. A contemporary woven screen by the team at THEURBANATIVE offering a sense of partial enclosure to those dining. Within this central zone, an impressive cluster of pendants created by Ashanti Design fills the ceiling space creating a striking illuminated feature from individual handmade pendants, where no two look the same, each with its own unique shape and pattern. Outside of this central zone, a terrazzo floor tile forms the effect of a pathway around the central seating zone and the outer perimeter is filled with trailing greenery serving as a nod to the natural world beyond the heart of the lodge. The design is layered with rough and earthy materials including a feature terracotta-effect plaster inspired by the clay used in traditional South African construction and reclaimed timber with a hand-painted design offers a way of integrating authentic South African patterns into the space enhancing the overall brand experience.     What are the biggest pain points when running a hospitality franchise? We’ve asked several franchisors and franchisees what the biggest challenges are to running and growing their hospitality franchise. One of the biggest challenges is financial management: including managing cash flow, controlling costs, and ensuring that the business is profitable.
