Earlier this year, several Chemistry students participated in the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge, a prestigious competition, where students sit 90-minute exam, designed to stretch and inspire students passionate about chemistry. Of the 17 students who took part, 12 performed exceptionally well: 7 students were awarded copper, 3 silver and 1 gold. Ben Stevenson earned the highest accolade – the prestigious Roentgenium medal! 🏅 Ben’s extraordinary achievement placed him in the top 0.54% of participants nationwide and he was invited to attend a residential camp in Cambridge, hosted at the University's Chemical Laboratory and St Catharine's College Cambridge. ✅ 70 students from across the UK attended the camp, with Ben representing the most northerly participant. Our Sixth Form College had as many students at the camp as the prestigious Eton College. 🤩 Congratulations go to Ben, on this outstanding accomplishment. 👏
