🌍 The Way We Do Things 🌍 We have a vision to be a B Corp. So from Day 1, before we even had a name, the way we do things has been a No1 goal for us at HayDay. We knew that whatever we did, we wanted to do it the right way and for the right reason. Part of this vision includes our sustainability actions; 🌍 We use sustainable farming practices and are constantly improving and innovating the way we do things 🌍 We have invested in green energy including ground source heat pumps and solar panels 🌍 We are 100% plastic free, and use 100% recyclable or reusable materials - we even source our packaging less than 25 miles from our farm. 🌍 We have schemes to reintroduce hedgerows and wildflowers on the farm to encourage wildlife (the buzzzz in summer can be heard from afar!) and have beehives too - the resulting honey doesn't go unnoticed! 🌍 We print customer comms on recycled paper (arguably an expectation) and we encourage customers to reuse our packaging for enrichment with their pets (we have 'activity panels' on the packaging and work with ambassadors to create ideas for reusing). We don't love the word 'sustainability' - it can sound like a buzz word and be misleading - but in practice, in can be so powerful for businesses that can make improvements and make a difference. Thats why we want to have visible and measurable actions and commitments that we can share with our customers, such as the above. A goal for 2024 is to communicate our sustainability actions more - we include some of this information on pack but are working on adding more. Would be great to hear how others communicate theirs? #BCorp #environment #sustainability
About us
The New Way to Feed Tasty Hay! Barn Dried, Premium Hay for Small Pets What is HayDay? It all began with brothers (and self-confessed grass enthusiasts) Tom and Mike! Tom & Mike have been growing grass on their farm in Yorkshire for over ten years. What began as a side hustle is now one of the things we do best. These days, we’re leading experts of hay and haylage in the UK. . At HayDay we grow nibble-icious hay for small pets including rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and degus. After spotting a gap in the market for high quality, UK grown, premium hay products from a personal and engaging small pet food business, we created HayDay to make feeding your small pets not only a nutritional requirement but also fun! We pack our barn dried hay into boxes and ship them to small pet lovers across the UK! Why is HayDay the best for your small pet? * We grow all our hay on our farm in Yorkshire; we are experts at the process. No imported hay here! * We barn dry our hay; meaning consistent high quality every time, and did we mention this is powered by green energy? * In-house nutritionist approved; only the best for your pets * Expertly grown; we have been developing the perfect grass mixtures for your small pets for our 10 years * Family business; it all started with brothers Tom & Mike! Although our team is a little bigger now - but we still manage the whole process from growing the grass to packing your orders right here on the farm. Our Sustainability on the Farm; We are champions of our environment. We are constantly trying to improve our farming practices - from using natural fertilisers and foraging sheep to planting hedgerows so that wildlife can thrive on our farm. All of our packaging is 100% plastic free too; just paper, cardboard and other environmentally friendly materials. We also barn dry our hay using renewable energy so we can guarantee that perfect quality every time. Find out more > www.hay-day.co.uk

Print runs for new products never gets old...this time Sweet & Munchy Ryegrass Hay and Coarse & Crunchy Alfalfa Hay. Seeing our products become reality is one thing, but receiving happy customers on the other end makes it even more worthwhile! Since launching these products 3 weeks ago, they have become best selling products with amazing customer feedback. We know our product is premium quality and we needed packaging to suit - something fun and engaging with stand out on shelf. We think we hit the brief - thanks to Katrina Tolley and MYKYND for bringing these new products to life! #productdevelopment #NPD #productdesign #smallpet
