We are the health innovation network for Kent, Surrey and Sussex - one of 15 health innovation networks in England. We spread innovation, improve health and generate economic growth. We do this by connecting regional networks of NHS and academic organisations, local authorities, the third sector and industry, responding to the needs of patients and populations through partnership and collaboration. 📰NEWS: Health Innovation Kent Surrey Sussex CEO Appointed as AI and Innovation Professor at University of Surrey School of Medicine. 🏥In a move that bridges the gap between healthcare innovation and medical education, Professor Hatim Abdulhussein, CEO of Health Innovation KSS, has been appointed as Honorary Professor of Innovation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the University of Surrey's School of Medicine. 🤖This three-year appointment will focus on integrating innovation and AI practices into the training of future medical professionals. This is especially timely given the new Government’s plan to embrace technology to support the NHS to shift from treatment to prevention and to increase productivity. 🗣️Professor Abdulhussein said: “My passion for workforce and education has been a thread throughout my career. I am itching to get back into the lecture theatre, and to help prepare the next generation of medical students for the innovations and technologies that will be a big part of their future in the NHS. 📢Applications now open for SBRI Healthcare Competition 27: Work-related digital innovations for individuals with poor mental health 📢 The competition invites innovations that focus on three areas: ➡ Digital interventions targeting work-related risk factors facing working age population (aged 16-64) with mental health problems in employment, that provide rapid support to individuals to help them remain in work ➡Digital interventions that specifically tackle barriers to work facing unemployed working age individuals (aged 16-64) with mental health problems, to support individuals to return to work or gain employment ➡Digital interventions targeting workplace issues/barriers facing working age population (aged 16-64) from disadvantaged communities with mental health problems, to support individuals attain, remain or return to work The competition is open to innovations at any stage of development from testing the technical and commercial feasibility to generating evidence in real world settings.
