Have we mentioned it’s Daisy Lodge’s 10th anniversary? 👀 Yesterday, we hosted a special event to mark this decade of therapeutic support as well as launch our new services model, which outlines our approach to service delivery and its impact – to connect, nurture, understand and empower 💛 We were privileged to welcome current and past service users, the Health Minister Mike Nesbitt, MLAs, representatives from the statutory and voluntary sector and corporate supporters to recognise the impact 10 years of therapeutic short breaks have had for families impacted by cancer. Guests heard from a range of speakers including mum of three Ellen whose eldest son Todd was diagnosed with Glioma in 2010 when he was just nine years old. Todd underwent 92 weeks of chemotherapy treatment and was one of the first children to stay in Daisy Lodge along with his family 👏 It was wonderful to see so many incredible supporters come together to reflect on the journey of Daisy Lodge as we look to the future of supporting families across the island of Ireland 🤝 Mike Nesbitt Department of Health NI R F Associates Chris Quinn Northern Ireland Commissioner for Children and Young People Phil Alexander Siobhan Hanley Neil Symington Raph O' Connor Peter O'Brien #10YearsofDaisyLodge #ServicesModel #TherapeuticSupport #NonProfitSector
