Poor management causing over two-thirds of staff to quit! We read this article with interest at MI-Say HQ. Lots of insight that matches our data, with listening and softer skills high on the wish list of employees when it comes to what they value or need more of. However, we find it isn't as clear cut as 'people leaving bad managers' as the common saying goes. Many of the employees & leavers MI-Say interview say they feel it is senior leadership or culture not giving their manager time or permission to deliver more of the soft skills of management. Often this goes beyond giving managers training but also permission 💡 https://lnkd.in/egBk8EeP

I got all the feels! 💖 Building a business is hard work, but every now and then you get the opportunity to look back at how far you have come and it gives you a massive boost! At MI-Say, we have been working hard for the last 2 years, shaping our services and perfecting our craft 😍 We are currently updating our website to reflect who we are and what we do, as our service has evolved to meet the needs of our customers. In the last week we have had a photoshoot for our updated website, finalised our new exhibition stand for #cipdace in November, written the first edition of 'Listen Up', a report on building better workplaces through listening, put the final touches to our white paper (amazing work Julia Smith, FCIPD, MBPsS), commenced a huge stay interview project for a new customer, worked on our imminent launch of pulse surveys, put our new custom built analysis tool into testing and welcomed Rebecca L. to the team - phew! Thankyou Christopher Owens for taking some amazing photos (and making the whole process much easier for this camera shy lot!). Onwards!!!!!
