Over two days, our centres shared the latest innovations, demonstrated cutting-edge technologies, and highlighted the strength of UK manufacturing. 🗣️ On day one, HVM Catapult CEO, Katherine Bennett CBE was on the main stage and chaired an inspiring panel for the Women in Manufacturing initiative, championing greater inclusion and support for women in our industry. 👏In the evening, Professor Mike Hinton was honoured with the Outstanding Contribution Award at the Composites UK - Trade Association Awards Dinner. The government's commitment to the world's first commercial-scale green hydrogen projects has moved us a step closer to unlocking the $1 trillion global hydrogen technology market. By investing £1bn in aerospace, £2bn in automotive, £500m for life sciences, and £6.1bn to protect core research funding in engineering, biotechnology, and medical science, the government is cementing the UK as an advanced manufacturing nation.
