Clean-up sales in the #privateequity secondaries market are a routine way for funds-of-funds and even secondary firms to close out older pools and pay back investors. A few big ones have been moving through the market this year, including this one from HarbourVest Partners, which is selling a portfolio valued at up to $1.5bn. The deal is said to have a buyer and heading for close. Clean-up sales are a foundational part of LP secondaries, and part of the overall mix of volume each year. “In the legacy space, there are a lot of buyers who are going to be sellers this year as they have been waiting to execute a trade in a more attractive pricing environment." We were delighted to welcome some of Hollyport’s local network in New York to celebrate the opening of our new office at 600 Lexington Avenue.   The transition to a larger, newly renovated space reinforces our established presence in the US and reflects our plans to continue expanding the team in line with the growing market opportunity. As part of this, Hollyport Principal Andrew Ward will be relocating to New York after almost three years with Hollyport in London.
