New Year is when many people get enthusiastic about setting goals and improving their world. January sees them vigorously pushing to get things done. February sees the vast majority slipping back into old ways and the same old same old. Two questions arise. 1. Why wait until New Year? 2. Why do the majority fail to achieve? For many, failure comes from trying to do it all on your own. Olympic gold medallists don’t do that. They get help from coaches and mentors. Having somebody else watching objectively – having somebody providing honest comments, thoughtful questions and genuine support – encourages success through a ‘team approach’ to overcoming barriers and disappointments. And that support leads to a higher success rate, more smiles and fewer tears. And there’s nothing magical about New Year from a change perspective. Change can start now. You don’t have to wait until 1st January. There’s no time like the present, as they say. So, consider this … How much could be improved for you and your business during October, November and December? How much could be achieved with a short, sharp, three-month period of business mentoring? During the next three months I can help you work through these questions:  > Where is your business now – and what do the numbers look like now? > How does the world know about your business – and which messages need improving? > What is ‘wrong’ with the numbers – and which numbers do we need to see (and when)? > What are the first steps needed to start moving from here to there? > What resources are available and what resources (if any) need to be added? > What is working well and can be expanded? > What is not working and should be removed (or mended)? > What else? > What next? As a mentee you can expect the monthly schedule to be: + A four-weekly Zoom meeting, lasting 90 minutes or so; 1-2-1 you and me + Pre-meeting report (by you) to update on agreed actions from the last meeting + Pre-meeting advisory on next meeting topics and/or new data etc  + Post-meeting report (by me) to recap and to confirm agreed actions, etc + Email correspondence as appropriate + Telephone conversations if needed urgently Don’t wait three months before you set about change. NOW is the time to start.
