We help brands get the most from their websites through the effective use of analytics, SEO and web experimentation.

About us

We're Hookflash. We are an award-winning digital optimisation agency, helping our clients get the most from their website through analytics, SEO and web experimentation. We previously helped to build one of the largest and most well-respected digital analytics agencies in the UK. Our founders have over 35 years combined experience in the field and are passionate about helping businesses win with data. Whether you use web analytics tools like GA4 or Adobe Analytics, product analytics tools like Mixpanel or user experience tools like Contentsquare or Hotjar, we can support with set-up and use. We use analytics to understand where barriers to conversion exist and to identify areas of opportunity. We use SEO to continue with diagnostics on where the site could be improved and start rolling out optimisations. And by tying the previous two disciplines with experimentation, we take make sure changes are tested and hypothesis are validated. Our aim is to help drive action, based on data, and increase revenue for businesses through better understanding customers and how they react to media, CRM, app and website experiences. We are determined to build the best place to work in digital optimisation. A place where time is not just set aside but actively encouraged, to focus on innovation, learning and development. We're looking to eradicate Sunday Blues from our teams vocabulary. If you need a dedicated ongoing team, require a hand for a specific project or just need some guidance, we'd love to speak to you.

A triangle is the strongest 2D shape. Largely due to the fact that each side is supported so well by the other two. It's one reason the Hookflash logo is a triangle (that and it looks cooooool 😎). For us, it's not just the fact that we have three point solutions under one roof - Analytics, SEO and Website experimentation. When you look at a triangle, the points are the smallest part. Far more important, bigger, and impactful, are the sides that connect each point. It's why we have baked site speed metrics into every web analytics implementation. Why our experimentation team has helped design our analytics blueprints. And why we test H1 tag changes on users, before rolling out to benefit SEO. Connect the dots. Maximise your websites potential. 📈

Experimentation Analyst @ Hookflash | Brand Lead at The Young Consultant

From 0 to CRO in 10 months- what a whirlwind! With no prior knowledge of the field, it’s been amazing to see how much I’ve learned in such a short time. Coming from a background in social sciences, landing a role focused on optimizing user experience has been the perfect fit. Big shout out to the team at Hookflash who have made it such a fun environment to grow in!☺️ here are some key bits I've learnt along the way: 💥 There is no one-size-fits-all solution for growing engagement. Every audience is different, and what we've seen work for one client might not work for another, even within the same industry. That’s why testing is crucial—understanding your data and continuously experimenting helps tailor your approach. on a more personal note... 💥 Just say yes For the most part no one's trying to push you beyond what they think you can handle because at the end of the day their reputation is on the line too, so embracing opportunities thrown at you is the best way to push your boundaries and discover what you’re truly capable of! #wie #convertXwie #speakup

We absolutely LOVE symmetrical messaging. When we talk about delivering decent customer experiences, and low-hanging fruit - it doesn't get much lower (and tastier) than this. #ux #experimentation

Don't neglect the basics - Small changes but big wins! Are you tailoring your landing pages based on the channel and campaign your users clicked through? This is one of our favorite tests to run at Hookflash because it's such a quick win. In a recent example, we saw an overall 18% uplift in purchases but for PPC a huge +132% increase! 🚀 Not only is this high-reward, it's super low-effort. Using UTM tagging from PPC, Social (both Organic & Paid), and Email, we swapped the messaging dynamically based on the utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign using AB Tasty. There's no need to create a new landing page for every channel - we can just change the headline copy and still see these impacts. But why test it? 🤔We want to uncover the best messaging for each channel. Need help getting this off the ground? Let’s chat!

🔔 New joiner alert! 🔔 Really pleased to welcome Joe Gregson to the team as a CRO Developer. We asked Joe our usual questions - we're loving the "did you know" ones. Who knew..! 😯 1.     What might someone not know about you I worked on the Netflix Series “The 3 Body Problem” during a year out after University.   2.     Give us a “did you know” Despite being so fast in water and being able to sleep underwater, hippos can’t swim!   3.     What are you most excited about in/for your new role? Being part of a close-knit team, offering my expertise as a developer while learning more specialised skills in conversation rate optimisation. Welcome Joe! 🎉
