We recently asked one of our foster parents what she would say to anyone who was considering fostering as a career. 💬 Taz shared the importance of being caring, patient and non-judgmental. Taz has up to four young people in her care at any one time and is passionate about improving their lives. 💚 Have you ever considered a career in fostering? We are currently recruiting a range of diverse families. 🎃 Half Term Activities 🎃 We were so delighted to host our first children's group of the autumn half term. 🍁 🍂 Yesterday, our team of Family Support Workers met with some of our young people for some spooky fun including pumpkin carving. We had the best afternoon. 👻 At Hope, we are proud of the community we have grown. Spending time with our families is our favourite thing to do. Bring on the Halloween Farm next week...! 👹 🏮 #participation #spooky #halloween2024 #nottingham #itsinnottingham #fosteringuk #fosteringuk #proudtofoster #hopemakes #halftermactivities #eastmidlands #trickertreat #pumpkincarving

When we asked one of our Supervising Social Workers about Hope Foster Parents....💚 A career in fostering isn't necessarily an easy job, but it is definitely a job that you will LOVE. It takes a brilliant person to help a young person become a success. Aston summarises it beautifully. 🏠 #nottinghamjobs #eastmidlandsjobs #jobsyoulove

🌎WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY 2024 🌎 World Mental Health Day is celebrated every year on October 10th. This year's theme focuses on stress in the workplace. It is important to recognise that mental health doesn't just impact your personal life - it can impact productivity, motivation, creativity and job satisfaction too. This is particularly pertinent for our foster parents whose career is based in their home. 🏚️ At Hope, we believe that it is really important to talk openly about mental health. 💬 The mental health of our staff and the mental health of our foster parents. 🧠 We host support groups. team away days, coffee mornings and much more. ☕ Our staff have recently been for a walk in the peak district and this month we are taking part in a self-defence day. We have recently hosted an informal coffee morning and we have just booked tickets for all of our foster families to go to the pantomime. 🎭 We don't always get it right but we are always trying to boost well-being and we pride ourselves with the personalised support we offer. #wmhd2024 #worldmentalhealthday2024 #wmhd #mentalhealthintheworkplace #fosterfamilies #fosteringuk #proudtofoster #fostercareuk #nottinghamuk

The theme for Black History Month this year is #reclaimingnarratives. The Black History Month website has a wealth of resources looking at how there is a significant shift towards recognising and correcting the narratives of Black history and culture. 📜 " By emphasising “Reclaiming Narratives,” we shine a brighter light on our stories, allegories, and history". We are proud of being a diverse and inclusive agency. Join us in nurturing our young people. Let's ensure we develop a future where every child’s story is valued and heard. 🖤✨ Want to know more? October is Black History Month which celebrates the achievements and contributions of black individuals and communities. It originated in the United States, where it is celebrated every February, but it has also been adopted in other countries, including the UK. 📜 We celebrate diversity at Hope and we feel that it is important to continue highlighting the need for foster parents from various backgrounds to meet the cultural and emotional needs of children from different ethnicities. ⭐ It is important that we can ensure that young people maintain a connection to their heritage and identity, which is vital for their overall well-being and development. ♥️ Can you name any of the celebrities in this video? They have all spent some time in the care system as young people.
