Driving Cancer Care Forward

About us

Hope for Tomorrow is a dedicated charity, bringing cancer care closer to patients’ via our mobile cancer care units. As a cancer charity, we understand that time is a crucial factor for patients, and in 2007 we launched the world’s first ever mobile cancer care unit to bring vital cancer care closer to patients, enabling them to spend more time with family, friends and loved ones. We develop, build, provide and maintain mobile cancer care units to support patients who are going through cancer treatment by alleviating the stresses and strains of travelling for appointments, along with reducing hospital waiting times.

We’re taking a look back at what’s been a busy and fulfilling year. Here’s a quick round up of some of what we’ve been up to so far. With plenty of exciting fundraising events and occasions, challenges, exhibitions, brand new mobile cancer care units, new ambassador announcements and so much more! As we get ready for the next four months (which are going to be BIG!) we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us so far this year. Every fundraiser and every donation is greatly appreciated, and your continued support means we can continue providing mobile cancer care units across the country. Keep an eye on our social channels as we share more of what we get up to for the rest of the year.      Earlier this year we shared our brand-new five-year growth strategy. We are now underway with year 1 of the strategy.     It provides focus in key areas as we continue to work towards making cancer care accessible for more patients in more communities across the UK.      Outlining our values, aims and key objectives in a clear and simple manner, you can read the full strategy here:   https://lnkd.in/eU9STTDu. You can also scroll through to see the key points below.     Thanks to the wonderful teams at two local businesses: Blue Sky Signs Ltd and Wheatley Printers for their help in designing and printing our strategy document.     #DrivingCancerCareForward #CancerCare #MobileCancerCare

Thanks to a generous donation of HP laptops from Neil MacDonald, members of our team are now even better equipped to support our mobile cancer care mission. In fact, our Senior Marketing Officer, Kate Robinson, is already set up and working away on one of these fantastic new devices! They’re rather brilliant.   This wonderful contribution came about through a chain of networking: Neil’s son, George, is an Account Executive at MBP and was introduced to our Chief Executive, Tina Seymour, at an MBP networking event at Dovetale in Mayfair.   We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Neil for his wonderful generosity, to George for creating the link between us and his father, and of course, to MBP’s very own founder and CEO, Mark Blundell, for cultivating these connections and fostering them as they move forward to make a difference. It is a true demonstration of successful networking and the supportive partnerships that can develop from that. Thank you all.

“Bring on the desert!” - that’s the attitude from the team of 12 who are taking on our 100km Sahara Trek challenge in November. Their training is well underway and with the recent warm weather, it’s been the perfect excuse to get out and hopefully get used to walking great distances under the beating sun. They embark on their adventure to the Sahara Desert in just a few months' time, so they’re already wearing in their kit and getting to know each other better before it’s time for the challenge to begin. Check out the video to hear more from one of our trekkers, Kelly Caple. It may only be August, but our sights are already set on going BIG in this year's Big Give Christmas Challenge. The challenge is UK’s biggest match funded campaign, and we need your help to reach our target! Every donation made to Hope for Tomorrow via the Big Give website between 3-10 December can be matched by our generous funders This will give our fundraising a huge boost, helping to keep the wheels turning on our mobile cancer care units. For example, if you give £10 during these dates, it means we get £20! Look out for more details as we approach the challenge dates. #DrivingCancerCareForward #BigGive #Charity
