🚀 Launch Day 🚀 As promised shiny and new! 😆 Horizon is pleased to announce our partnership with Cyclops Utilities & Harken Safety & Rescue to supply UK DNOs and the Electrical Utility Sector with state-of-the-art load sensors. Cyclops Load Sensors started life in the marine industry, designed with the minds at Cambridge University and INEOS TEAM UK to allow you to monitor loads across the rig and provide a reading to a digital display, taking the guesswork out. The Load Sensors come in many different forms and can be used with soft slings, shackles, etc. to attach to a system or rig. The Sensors will provide an accurate digital reading of +/-1% of the load. Due to them being designed and implemented into the marine world first, the Sensors have already been rigorously tested to work in the harshest environments. The Sensors are made of Titanium, which creates a Sensor that is not only lighter and smaller but also extremely strong and compared to existing dynamometers, they reduce the amount of room taken in the system it's being implemented in. Remote Data - The Wi-fi technology built into the Sensors ensures you will not struggle to take readings on hard-to-read dials or in hard-to-access places. The data will provide a live reading to a device with accurate data being provided as often as 10 readings per second. The technology built into the Sensors is intuitive, allowing it to be used in many applications so it was easy to spot the potential for use in other sectors. Applications for the Electrical utility sector could be; Line Sag Tensioning, Rigging applications for lifting transformers, poles, and much more. We have a brilliant support network, with Thomas Pickles (Cyclops) & Guy Fulford (Harken) bringing a wealth of knowledge on the products and their potential applications.
