Hortons has completed the restoration of the Macdonald Burlington Hotel’s exterior in Birmingham city centre. Necessary repairs to the Lower Temple Street, Stephenson Street, and New Street elevations were undertaken by a specialist contractor, who carefully restored damaged stonework and leadwork, repointed brickwork, and repainted the building. Hortons has secured planning consent for the redevelopment of a vacant warehouse at Saxon Park, Corby, creating over 200,000 sq ft of premium logistics space. Expected for occupation in Q3 2025, the project will deliver two high-spec units, Saxon 79 and Saxon 129, in a prime industrial location. Sustainable design features include LED lighting, PV roof panels, and EV charging stations, targeting EPC A+ ratings. Luxury footwear and accessories brand Russell & Bromley has opened a new distribution centre at Saxon Park, Corby. The company pre-let Saxon 58, a comprehensively refurbished warehouse unit of 58,350 sq ft. The building delivers a 500 KVA power supply and houses a range of sustainability features such as EV charging, PV roof panels and LED lighting. Saxon Park is a 19.8-acre estate in the UK’s logistics ‘golden triangle’, which was acquired by Hortons last year. We are working on exciting plans to further redevelop the accommodation on site to create two new highly specified warehouse/logistics units. In just under two weeks' time, the Hortons' team will be getting their boots back on to walk 60 miles in aid of Noah's Star. On Friday, 18th October, three teams will embark on a 20-mile walk from Knowle, Fazeley, and Wolverhampton, all making their way to central Birmingham. Though some of us are still recovering from last year’s Three Peaks challenge, we’re pushing forward to raise essential funds for Noah’s Star.
