hosmarkhotels is thrilled to announce our newest addition to our portfolio! Alison and I recently returned from a fabulous visit to Copenhagen to check out the Tivoli Hotel & Congress Centre Copenhagen and Copenhagen Island (both part of the Arp-Hansen Hotel Group). With 679 rooms, the Tivoli Hotel & Congress Centre combines easily with the Copenhagen Island (just across the road) with 326 rooms, to provide accommodation for up to 1000 rooms for a meeting or congress.  One point of contact for the whole process, one invoice and exceptionally friendly service makes for the perfect seamless event. The hotels are just a 10 minute walk to Tivoli Gardens or 20 minute walk to the city centre. We certainly smashed our daily step target... 22k from 4pm on the first day, 18k the next day, and the third day was largely sedate.. but it just goes to show that everywhere in the city is walkable. The weather was glorious and there were bars, restaurants and sunbathing bodies all along the banks of the canals. The water is sparkly clean and open water swimming is really popular in the city - the locals certainly have their work-life balance right! Copenhagen Cards give you access to all forms of city transport, including canal boat trips, buses and trains, many restaurants and entrance to Tivoli Gardens, so well worth checking out. The airport is just 15 minutes on the train so easily accessible. If sustainability is what your clients are after, this clean and tidy city is top of the list. You can ski down the roof of a waste-to-energy plant, take your bike on car-free bicycle bridges, and go for a dip in the harbour’s 10 public bathing zones. Watch out for the cycle lanes, boat transfers, initiatives for the tourists to clear rubbish for a free lunch, and so much more.. The Tivoli and Island do also have their own CSR policies so please ask for more information. We found the Danes to be so polite, suave, sophisticated, young and beautiful. The service levels are extremely high and everyone so friendly and approachable. The combination of cocktails, ice cream, lagerkage husets (aka cinnamon swirls) and international restaurants makes Copenhagen a haven for delicious cuisine, in the most relaxed environment. Hosmarkhotels hosted an incredible evening at Pan Pacific London on Wednesday this week with so many industry partners, clients and friends. The evening was intended to be an informal way to connect industry buyers to our esteemed hotel partners, and boy did it work well! Our hotels were offering local wares from ham & cheese, to ouzo, to tequilla, to honey, lychee wine and much more, including fantastic prizes to their beautiful hotels. The spinning wheel got the whole room involved with watching the winners being slowly revealed.
