The feeling of relief ……. Yesterday, the moment I pressed submit on the final assignments being submitted that brought an end to year 1 of my qualification. Now, I must admit that before pressing submit, I was nervous, and I probably checked and rechecked my work way more times than I should have done! ✔️ Was I within word count? ✔️ Were all my appendixes uploaded? ✔️ Should I check my Harvard referencing again, just to make sure? 🤦🏻♀️Had I spelt my name, right? (I kid you not) Now this isn’t my first rodeo, and I’m proud to have completed some really tough qualifications over the years, 👩🏻🎓 but the anxious feelings never goes when it comes to submitting. I tell myself the reason I get so nervous is because ive worked hard, and importantly I care. Still doesn’t make the feelings ‘feel’ any nicer! So, when I finally pressed the button, I took a moment to inhale deeply. To bring myself back to the present and recognise that I’ve done my best and now I just have to wait. My thoughts and feelings resonated back to my role as a business owner and leader of a great team ….. 🤷🏻♀️Have I done enough, am I enough? 🤷🏻♀️Are the decisions I make as a business owner and leader the right ones? 🤷🏻♀️Do I push too much? Or not enough? 🤷🏻♀️Are our people plans aligned to our growth plans? The answer is, every single day we do the best we can, given the experience and resources we have. But every single day there is the opportunity to learn new things, whether that’s qualifications, learning from mistakes or learning through our experiences, for example through the people that we associate with. So for now, the wait is on and in the meantime its 100% back to business! We have some huge projects being worked through and some even bigger plans ahead. 🎉 Can anyone resonate? #lifelearner #nerves #businessgoals #qualifications #development #learning #businessowner #business #leader

We received a recommendation a few days ago, from a client we have supported for a number of years and and an individual who I have known since Covid times. Its a pleasure to work with our clients long term, which demonstrates the value and service we provide to clients. We don't have to lock clients into lengthily contracts (not like some of the big HR providers not naming names P* C* C*) So if you are a the owner or senior leader of a small business, and you need people support, especially in light of the changes with the budget and forthcoming legislation changes, drop me a message. #hrconsultants #hrconsultancy #hr #peoplefirst #takingthehassleoutofhr #leaders #businessowners #smallbusinessowner #hryourbusinessmatters #hrybm

I'm not sure where to even start with the recent budget announcement .... I have seen how much small businesses have struggled over recent years, and in all honesty the budget feels like another kick down the wrong road. The potential impact of dropping the employers NI contribution, as well as increasing contributions to 15% will undoubtedly force business owners to make further cuts. That's before the increases to NMW. My fear is that businesses cannot keep passing these increases onto their clients and have already cut incredibly deep into their profit margins, making these increases unsustainable. We will see how much of an impact these changes will have, and how (as always) the small businesses find the determination to carry on, anyway they can. Many, I think will decrease or hold on any salary increases planned for next year outside of what's legally required and many will put a hold on recruitment and growth investment. The result of which, surely goes against what Labour stated they were trying to achieve? #workingpeople I'm not sure i want to ask, but I need to .... what do you think? As a business owner what will you be looking to do and how will you do it? Is now the time to pick up the phone and reach out to us? We can help you navigate the challenges ahead which involve your people. #people #hr #hrconsultancy #hrexperts #legislation #minimumwage #leadership #smallbusiness #smallbusinessowner #businessowner

Help me out as in all honesty I'm in 2 minds, do you find Linkedin Company Pages worthwhile? I personally don't head to a company page to look at things, as I find individuals profiles much more useful so interested to gain the views of others?
