However, people tend to be happier when they retain and nurture those connections outside of their immediate family, and can step outside their familial roles for even an hour or two a week. ☀ Summer is finally in the room with us! For most people, the Winter months can bring up what's known as Seasonal Affective Disorder (or SAD for short), which is largely due to weather changes and lack of sun exposure. However, even though the Summer months bring plenty of sunshine with them - and with that a lot of opportunities for being outdoors - they can also contribute to a decrease in mental health for other reasons. Some such reasons include the extreme heat and how it triggers feelings of fatigue and lethargy, dehydration, and feelings of body insecurity. But of course, not everyone feels this way about Summer.
