Me on a first teams call with a potential new client. Client: "Is that a cow behind you?" Me: "Sure is!" Better than any fake background image...and a great way to break the ice. Maybe just me, but I prefer it when people don't use backgrounds as it gives me a little glimpse into their world...which enables me to learn more about them as a 'human being' first and foremost. I love working from home and am very fortunate to live in the countryside with some 'udderly' fantastic neighbours. Don't worry, I won't 'milk' this any further...but just remember, people buy people and I think often, in the tech world, we forget that it's not just about the tech - it's about the people who implement and support it...that's what your clients buy into. Look after your people and they'll look after your clients!
