Last week was World Mental Health Day, but mental health is such an important topic for anyone living with a degenerative disease such as Huntington's. A member of the Huntington’s community came up with an idea we would like to share with you. Sarahjane’s daughter, Charly is 32 years old. After noticing that due to her symptom progression, Charly had lost contact with many friends and family. Sarahjane came up with an initiative - ‘One day a year’. If someone you know is living with a disease or illness and you haven’t seen them in a while, reach out to them and arrange a time to visit or meet up - you could really make someone’s year. Today we are taking a moment to say thank you to everyone who has supported our work. Whether you donated, attended a webinar, voted in our annual awards, opened a #TeamHDA email or shared one of our social media posts, your kindness and generosity helps those living with Huntington’s disease. We hope you already know how much your fundraising, volunteering and support means to us, but we just wanted to share our appreciation a little further. We achieve nothing without you our supporters and we would like to take this moment to thank you all. Here is a snapshot of what your support helped us achieve in the past financial year.
