Great to see the The University of Manchester’s Fallowfield Campus residential redevelopment project hit a significant milestone. Hydrock, now Stantec delivered the multi-disciplinary engineering services required for the planning submission for this new-build project – which is a critical element of the university’s Fallowfield Campus – and we’re delighted that work is moving forward.
Designed for the University of Manchester, plans have been submitted for the relocation of the university’s central catering unit and campus facilities management accommodation. The new building relocates accommodation from the current Limes Building on the Fallowfield Campus and creates new spaces for environmental and maintenance services teams. “The scheme consolidates existing infrastructure reflecting a new operational simplicity with bold colours highlighting key elements of the design. A highly practical solution integrated carefully into the Fallowfield campus.” - Matthew Burl, Buttress Read more about the plans here: https://lnkd.in/e_JMhMG6 CGI: Virtual Planit The University of Manchester | Rider Levett Bucknall RLB | Hydrock, now Stantec | Turley | The Airedale Group | Dragonfly Consulting

Three cheers for our project partners Stonewood Design - the Emily Hobhouse Museum project has been shortlisted for this year’s RIBA South West regional awards! 🎉🎉 The Story of Emily Museum celebrates the life of humanitarian Emily Hobhouse, who campaigned against the UK’s use of concentration camps in the Boer War. Emily grew up in a Cornish village, and the rectory where she was born now forms part of the museum site, alongside some striking new buildings that tell the story of the Anglo-Boer War and Hobhouse’s role as an activist. We provided civil and structural engineering services on the project, helping to create the right building to share Emily's story. Watch out for more on that, coming soon... Huge congratulations again on the shortlisting to Stonewood, The Newt in Somerset and all our project partners. Take a look at the full list of nominations here: https://lnkd.in/e9XXy2W6 📸: Fotohaus
