Earlier this month, Investing in African Mining Indaba welcomed 10K+ delegates from 122 countries under the theme “'Future-proofing African Mining, Today!”, marking another strong year of growth. 📈 7% increase in investor and dealmaker attendance 🤝 1,455 business matchmaking meetings 🌍 122 countries represented (up from 115 in 2024) 🎤 625 speakers, with 40% female representation Running alongside the event, 121 Group's Mining Investment Cape Town brought together 1K+ attendees, facilitating 1,871 one-on-one meetings and further strengthening investment and networking opportunities. Mining Indaba and 121 Mining Investment once again connected industry leaders, shaped policy, and drove investment across the continent. 75 years young! Spring Fair continues to honour its rich legacy while evolving to meet the needs of today’s retail industry. This year’s event saw a 14% rise in exhibitors, strong revenue growth, and digital-first brands joining retail icons under one roof. For the first time this year the team brought Pure at Spring Fair, MODA and Source Home & Gift onto the show floor, offering our customers a one-stop retail shop spanning home, gift, fashion and sourcing. This week, we celebrated the 75th edition of #SpringFair, an event that has been at the heart of the UK retail industry for generations. While the heritage runs deep, this event continues to stay fresh – illustrated by a 14% increase in the number of exhibitors this year, strong year-on-year revenue growth, and the presence of digital-first brands like Google Digital Garage Deliveroo, and TikTok alongside UK retail legends Coach House UK, TY, WIDDOP and Co. and Sifcon. Spring Fair’s blend of experience and fresh thinking continues to be part of its DNA, reflected in a 10% increase in onsite re-bookings compared to last year, setting the 2026 event up for continued success. I’m reminded of something Stuart Machin, CEO of Marks and Spencer, said that resonated strongly: “Protect the magic, modernise the rest.” That’s exactly what Spring Fair aspires to do. It honours its legacy while constantly evolving to meet the needs of our customers and today’s dynamic retail landscape. Congratulations to Julie Driscoll, Jackson Szabo, Soraya Gadelrab, Bhavika Pattni, Suzanne Ellingham, Michael Richardson and the whole Spring Fair & Autumn Fair team who delivered a 75-year celebration to remember.
