Here is a sneak peek into the successful launch of our Legal Design Toolkit – a guide to making laws on Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) in Nepal more human-centered, accessible, and effective. As part of the #DesignTheLawNepal project, the toolkit on #SRHR, was put together by Dr Mara Malagodi (Reader at Law, Warwick Law School), legal design expert Emily Allbon and Dr. Sabrina Germain Germain (Reader in Healthcare Law and Policy and Associate Dean for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) from City, University of London in collaboration with iProbono and the Law and Policy Forum for Social Justice (LAPSOJ). Our keynote speakers, Honourable Kalyan Shrestha, former Chief Justice, Supreme Court of Nepal and Honourable Justice Hari Phuyal, Supreme Court of Nepal, launched the toolkit. At the launch event, we hosted an interactive workshop on the practical usage of the toolkit. Through a photo exhibition, ‘In Pursuit of a Just Society: A Visual Journey’ we displayed the journey of our work in #Nepal and the artworks of Kripa Joshi, the toolkit’s illustrator. This project received technical and financial support from Advocates for International Development’s ROLE UK Programme and UKAid. #Nepal #SRHR #SexualAndReproductiveHealth #EnablingJustice #AccesstToJustice #LegalDesignToolkit
