Yesterday I atttended the ICE course on The Principal Designer & Designer - Demonstrating Capability. Tony Putsman led the session providing a fantastic insight into how we as an industry have misunderstood the regulatory intent of the CDM regulations since their inception. During the day we really looked at the language used in the regulations and what this actually means, not what people perceive it to mean. I’d recommend this course or the other ICE courses on the subject, whether you are a Client, Principal Designer, Designer, Principal Contractor or Contractor. I also found out that Kier Group also send their graduate programme on the introductory course, so maybe we can start building leaders of the future who truly understand the intent of risk management and significant risk. #legacy #CDM
