The University of Oxford has today announced the winners of the ‘Insight Investment – University of Oxford Prize for Greening Finance’, the pre-eminent prize for this important area of research and practice. The winners were announced at the World Forum on Enterprise & the Environment 2024, Oxford University’s flagship event on enterprise and the environment. #Green #Sustainability

Model portfolio sales in the UK financial adviser channel slowed during the first half of 2024 as the boom of the past 12 months ran out of steam, new data from ISS Market Intelligence (ISS MI) reveals. Model portfolio (MPS) sales grew just 6% over the course of H1 2024 both in aggregate and amongst individual firms using model portfolios, down from 13% in the same period a year earlier. The latest Financial Conduct Authority annual report was analysed by Niall Hearty in an article for IFA Magazine. Niall highlights the FCA’s record-breaking number of criminal charges and regulatory actions, the tough approach it has taken regarding cryptocurrency, the fall in fines collected and the drop in the number of fraud cases opened. He adds that extra investment put into the FCA has not led to “such a spectacular return’’ in certain areas.
