  • More female CEOs will drive change – how do we get there? This International Women's Day, as we #AccelerateAction towards gender equality, it's crucial to look beyond boardroom statistics and focus on real leadership impact. While significant progress has been made in representation of women in board rooms, the reality highlights something different - most of these positions are non-executive, meaning women still lack decision-making power.   As our CEO, Johanna Beresford has stated in the City AM, “focus on really understanding the psychology of leadership and how this drives positive change.” The way to progress is not just representation but to focus on systemic and behaviour change. A McKinsey Global Institute report finds that $12 trillion could be added to global GDP by 2025 by advancing women’s equality. Therefore, this isn’t just about being fair but an economic imperative. Moving forward, we need to prioritise developing leadership pipelines that prepare more women to take up senior positions. This is how we can close the increasing gender pay gap and drive progress. It’s time to move beyond discussions and take concrete actions to break down the systemic barriers. What steps are you taking to support women in leadership? • The recent news relating to influential corporations rolling back their DEI programmes is an example of the pressures that business leaders face in today’s world.  The volatility of the times doesn’t just impact strategies but often end up costing leaders a majority of their time, leading them to quit their roles. Hence, the average tenure of a UK CEO has now dropped to just 4.8 years, down from 8.3 years just nine years ago. Yet, a 2017 McKinsey report concludes that companies with top-quartile gender-diverse executive teams are more profitable on average. And those leading in ethnic & cultural diversity are 33% more likely to exceed profitability benchmarks. Despite these positive results, inclusion is overlooked as a business imperative. The solution is not to create a DEI specific strategy but to identify the organisation’s most pressing business challenges and explore how a culturally informed approach can help address them. Our article in Raconteur | B Corp™ emphasises the importance of changing organisational cultures by targeting micro-cultures in a team-based setting. In this article, our CEO, Johanna Beresford, encourages organisations to move beyond treating inclusion as a check-box activity, to using it to your competitive advantage. How can businesses reposition DEI to see long-term growth rather than standalone initiatives? Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gzkD5ij #InclusiveLeadership #EDI #UK

  • Did you know that organisational integrity isn’t just a “nice-to-have" but is the backbone for achieving sustainable success for an organisation? Therefore, being ethical is a strategic priority and not just a compliance activity.   Our proprietary model of organisational integrity, designed by our Chief Solutions Officer Stephen Dixon-Mould and CEO Johanna Beresford; Integrity → trust → oxytocin → higher employee performance → better organisational performance Integrity and trust are directly correlated, and neuroscience research shows that when we are trusted and when we trust, our brains respond by producing oxytocin, this leads to better performance.   Most of the companies don’t even realise that by just adapting to these simple habits, they can unlock the true potential of their workforce and drive their organisation to success. That's why we're thrilled to announce that Stephen will be sharing his expertise at the "Navigating Organisational Integrity in the Modern Workplace" webinar. Hosted by Engage for Success, this free, online webinar will delve into:  ✔️Building a culture of trust  ✔️Navigating ethical dilemmas  ✔️Fostering responsible business practices Date & Time: 21st February 2025; 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm GMT Join Stephen and other industry leaders to discover how integrity can transform your workplace! • “Having a space, that is for women, supporting all women to succeed, this can only be a good thing. But men must be part of that,” said Johanna, sharing her views on Luminary, a women-focused but not a women-exclusive club. Recently, our CEO, Johanna Beresford, discussed her views on women-only members' clubs in an interview with City AM. We at In Diverse Company, firmly believe that a diverse perspective is what gives rise to innovation, and therefore, it’s necessary to include people from varied social circles and backgrounds. Integrating men into these environments is crucial for driving systemic change and achieving equality in its true sense. The interview was conducted in light of the recent news of shutting down of Allbright’s Mayfair clubhouse, a prominent members club for women in London. The article considers various perspectives on women-only clubs and the relevance of other non-profit clubs across the globe. • Did you know that a repeated behaviour that becomes automatic and unconscious becomes a habit? A habit must be simple, achievable and clear, and repeated over 45-60 days of consistency to become an unconscious habit.   The cultivation of habits that derive a behavioural change forms the basis of our offerings at In Diverse. We believe that real change doesn’t happen overnight but through consistent and sustainable efforts. Our CEO, Johanna Beresford, developed an easy guide “An Introduction to Habits and Behaviour Change”, that delves deeper into the theme of Habits and how we can leverage them to create an inclusive environment. The guide contains several video links, providing further information about the topic making it easier to understand and help you apply these concepts in real-life. We would love to know what habits you’ve committed to recently and whether this has led to a positive change in behaviour? To find out more on how our proprietary habit-based learning methodology can drive positive behaviour change in your organisation, get in touch or book a free 30-minute consultation with one of our Psychology and Leadership Development experts.

  • Today, we celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science and mark the 10th anniversary of the occasion. Even though women are entering the STEM field, the gender gap continues to widen because of their disproportionately low representation in senior leadership positions. This gap highlights the need for us to harness all talent. Barriers to entry in these sectors, are hindering us from working towards our goals of Sustainable Development. From improving health to combating climate change, this is our call to do better and encourage more women to work in these fields. At In Diverse Company, we’re committed to breaking down these barriers. We believe that diverse perspectives drive innovation and are dedicated to creating inclusive environments globally.
